Has anyone else been doing 6 month subs from the beginning?

I ask this question simply because Orsinium is due on the same day my Plus membership was scheduled to be renewed. I wonder if this was planned or overlooked. If I would have kept ESO+ to have access to the DLC they would have billed me another $85 and I would have got another 9000 crowns. But I'm gonna try it the other way this time. I'm not gonna spend the $85 and instead use some of the 9000 crowns I got the last time.

I wonder which they were expecting me to do?

The plan is to release a DLC once a quarter, so it is just a coincidence.

Six month sub since the beginning here. And yet I still bought the IC DLC extra, and will do the same for Orsinium. I believe in putting my money where my mouth is, and supporting a game I like!

Done it for a year or so, then stopped sub for a month or so, as had to get into Rome 2 Total War properly and other games at the time, then came back properly.

Been there, I even bought both console versions and I don't own a console. I wished I was still there, but sadly, I'm not.

Bright side, I've got something to play right off the bat if I ever get a console.

Since all ZO$ is doing now is for the quick money grab I think it's been done on purpose.
Marketing wouldn't let something like this slip on accident.

I did 3 month subs and dropped when the game went F2P. I'm not going to blindly support the game. If ZoS thinks they can make more money selling DLCs than they can subscriptions, I will support them using their chosen model. Make a quality DLC and I will buy it (I did buy IC, not so sure about Orsinium). Keep my interest in the game and I will buy more DLCs.

I think once they get this "DLC a quarter" thing down it might be worth the sub, assuming an interest in buying all the DLCs. They didn't meet their promise of new content every 6-8 weeks during ESO 1.0, so I will wait to see how well they do with ESO 2.0. They have enabled me to be more cautious about how I reward their efforts, so I will take advantage of that opportunity.

Yes, still got my original 6 month sub going.

It works out the equivalent to 2 pints of cider a month when you do it that way, so when you look at it that way isn't a lot.

Was happy to pay when it was a sub model, and I like making new characters so the XP gain, while small) does add up.

Though I won't lie.... the crafting bag idea would make me a lot happier about the value of subbing.

Not all the time, but mostly. Currently running a 6 month sub as a birthday gift from my family.

I also have the senche and have been playing since early access though.

The crowns are very useful for my costume collection and the 10% exp is nice for my alts. I'd say it's worth subscribing. But if you aren't using your crowns you can just buy the expansion and some exp scrolls instead. Might run out better.

Have you noticed that you have not heard one word about anything new that wasn't mentioned within the first 4 or 5 months of the original PC launch. All of this stuff has been shelved and tweaked. I'm starting to wonder if they have the development staff to do anything that wasn't mostly finished before the game went B2P. I hope they do but like you I've chosen to follow their chosen model. I'm not gonna get IC, I've had my fun with it. I'll get Orsinium just for the story then I'll have enough crowns for 2 more DLC's. Hopefully by the time I spend them, they will change my mind about the sub rather than being at the end of the line with nothing else for me to spend crowns on.

ZOS, I will buy content, I will not buy useless clutter.

Of course they can always change DLCs to cash purchase only and folks with Crown reserves will have to buy the DLCs if they want them.

I've also subbed for six months continuously from early release. My sub also expires 1 day before Orsinium drops. I thought about dropping it, since I'm not thrilled with the the shift of crafting to a grind mode to drive crown store sales, but on the other hand, that 6-month sub is less than one month of cable, and I get as much or more entertainment from ESO as TV. Probably will sub again, but if Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood do not appear soon, it may be the last time.

OP: I've been doing 6 month subs since day 1, but mine renews about a week after Orsinium drops because Customer Service once added some free sub time to my account to compensate me for a bug that caused me to lose something in-game. I actually no longer remember what exactly the situation was with that, and I never asked for free sub time, but when they offered I wasn't exactly about to turn it down.

To be fair, I have absolutely no problem with supporting ZOS, but I no longer feel I have to go above and beyond the minimum that is needed to continue to play. This games seems to continue farther and farther from what I initially signed on for. If they come out with what I feel is good content I will buy it and if they ever put what I feel is a value into ESO+ I may pick that up again as well, but I will not go above and beyond in supporting a path to F2P - P2W.

All you have to do to realize how quickly it could be done is go to the PTS and make a Template character then look in your bag and realize all of the coding is already in game, all they have to do is put the stuff in the crown store.
