Regarding settlements, we know that Balmora, Suran, Ald'ruhn, Gnisis, Sadrith Mora, Tel Aruhn, and of course, Vivec City, all exist in this time period.

Seasonal campaigns to red mountain to slay Dagoth Ur and his kin... who are later revived. Man it seems like they wrote that bit of lore FOR an MMO!
Now I really want Vandenfell!

Yeah, I think 2E 882 is the relevant year here. That's the year Dagoth Ur reawakens and binds himself to the Heart, so it must be shortly after that when the Tribunal start campaigns against him. It's then some time after that again when the Ghostfence is built.@Enodoc Gah... It looks like you're right. I thought it was erected at the battle of red mountain... and Elder Scrolls Wiki puts it as being constructed 1E 700. I'm finding sources that claim that the GhostGate was made shortly after the battle of Red Mountain... but more reliable sources claims that it was made "late in the 2nd era"... now for the awesome part....Except that the Ghostfence hasn't been built yet.At least those damned invisible walls ZOS likes to put everywhere would make sense in Vvandenfell... Somebody tried that. It didn't end well for them. How about finding a rare piece of lore that enables you to go where the Dwemer went.......always wanted to know that, since playing Morrowind.
They could be alive they could be dead, certainly opens things up to new ideas, crafts, armours and most other real money making endeavours. If they made it ,You would pay hehehe.

DUNMER
Stonefalls
Deshaan
Bal Foyen
Clockwork city (coming soon)
NORD
Bleakrock Isle
Eastmarch
The Rift
Argonian
Shadowfen
As you can see the current EP distribution is a bit unbalanced.

Both of the following quotes are taken from www.UESP.net
"After the Battle at Red Mountain, Dagoth Ur remained inside the Ghostfence with the Heart of Lorkhan,"
"The Battle of Red Mountain was the battle which, among other things, led to the sudden disappearance of the entire Dwemer race. It took place around 1E 700,"
As you can see the Ghost Fence was up as early as 1E700

I'm sure it had been breached/repaired multiple times, which is why you have the Armigers and Ordinators and such.
Why not a full blown corprus beast transformation? here is the kicker If the player wants to be cured of the curse, If I recall Divayth Fry says to the Nerevarine that no one has survived the corpus cure but we all know the vestige keeps coming back to life when they get killed so the cure could kill them so the lore would stay intact making it that no one survived........ and then the vestige would just come back to life again and the game would continue as normal.Give me Ash Ghoul/Ash Zombie/Ash Slave polymorph and i will be happy.

@nimander99
There were multiple battles at Red Mountain. One during the War of Succession (1E 416), then the one you mentioned, in 1E 700 (between Dunmer and Dwemer) and then the one against Dagoth Ur in 2E 882 after which the Ghostfence was built.

I'll reopen an old discussion on that. I think that info is wrong.
That's what I'm saying. Not the bit about the Battle of Red Mountain itself, but the bit that says "After the Battle at Red Mountain, Dagoth Ur remained inside the Ghostfence". Nothing I've found suggests that it existed then, and a number of sources infer that it must have been built after 2E 882.nimander99 wrote: »I am just going off of what I read on uesp.net, if you are saying that site is incorrect then that's a whole different can o' worms but I'd be happy to read any other sourcesI'll reopen an old discussion on that. And yet, it makes sense; ghost fences are created from the remains of the deceased. Literally, a fence of ghosts. And another thing. Am I the only one that finds the name "ghostfence" kind of silly?

In a slightly divergent topic though, I'm curious if anyone found St. Veloth's behavior in the EP Story a little odd, or is it just normal for the Dunmer ancestors to always choose to side with their heirs on a matter (in this case favoring the Tribunal over the Anticipations).
You guys do know that if they did introduce Vvardenfell it would be very different from the Vvardenfell you saw in Morrowind, right? At the time of ESO Vvardenfell hasn't been opened up to settlement (and won't for centuries), so many of the places you saw in Morrowind won't exist yet, and there are very few inhabitants aside from Ashlanders.
Yup, that's exactly what I mean. Personally I think it could be very interesting (although it's not highest on my list of "locations I'd like to visit in ESO after the ones we already know are coming"), but I am a little concerned that if they added Vvardenfell as a zone a lot of the Morrowind fanboys would be pissed that it wasn't like it was in Morrowind... I think that true TES fans who understand the timelines and lore would probably enjoy it though. You guys do know that if they did introduce Vvardenfell it would be very different from the Vvardenfell you saw in Morrowind, right? @UrQuan You mean we could have an opportunity to explore the unique Ashlander culture pre-imperialism and pre-House? And with more focus on the Ghostgate defense? Might not be what a lot of folk would look for, but I'd be all about some Buoyant Armigers running around slaying the naughty Dagoth creations while exploring Ashlander tribal politics and Daedra worship and the things they do to combat the ash beasts. Heck, maybe some interplay between the Temple militants and Ashlanders disagreeing on how to deal with the threat.
Assuming I don't have my timing wrong and that the Ghostgate has indeed been build already.
