Akavari: You need insane amounts of AP (like top 100 leader board amounts) to buy even a single page
Mercenary: An Undaunted grindfest, oh and collecting the crafting material "Laurel" will be a pain
Ancient Orc: Probably the easiest to collect, but it's still going to be a pain
Also let me say this . . . . The majority of PvPers are not crafters so maybe the Akavari motifs will be a way for them to make money by selling them, but you average crafter will not want to spend the money on it and they will not PvP enough to collect the sets.

You nailed it. I've been playing for a month and have racked up 250K AP "extra". I've earned much more but can only burn thru so much on trebuchets and wall repair kits. And since they're not making the AP merchants sell VR16 gear I'll have no place to spend my AP but on Akaviri motifs.
Kind of missing a "mixed" choice in the poll.
I won't see Akaviri on my crafter, much like I will never see glass (unless I pay up of course). They will both be too expensive to even bother, and so rare that any interest I may have had died right away.
For mercenary pages, the page drop rates on PTS seemed very appropriate. Didn't keep track of exact numbers, but a guesstimation would be a page drop from 2/3 chests, using both silver and gold keyes, around 20 total even split. I'd say it's much, much closer to the dwemer motif than xivkyn - and nowhere near glass - in terms of rarity.
In comparison, mercenary motif will be way easier to collect than Akaviri so I'm happy with that. If the drop rates remain, I'd say they will be priced around dwemer pages withing a couple of weeks from launch.
So, mercenary page drop rates seem appropriate. Akaviri is as ridiculous as glass with that pricing.

Well now, this is just ridiculous that so many people think it's too hard.
I think it should be harder to collect the motifs, still seems easy.. it is merely Time Consuming, gone are the days when you could look at a character in a game and say "Oh he has that set he must have done "x" to get that, that is really hard, they must be pretty good at the game."
And now you lot are complaining because it's takes a little time to collect something, not even skill necessarily.
Yes some people don't like to PvP, they have difficulty learning the 'rock, paper, scissors' of different classes/builds and don't know how to manage their skill rotation and resources effectively.
So they will have to either get in a decent group size and farm AP a little slower than players who do well at PvP.
OR group up with experienced PvP players and get them to teach them a better understanding of the game.
There is nothing wrong with this, players should be rewarded for performing well. There is no counter argument to this
Yes some players don't like to PvE the hard content and have difficulty moving out of red circles or paying attention to boss mechanics.
They will have to group up with 2-3 better players to help them through the content and teach them a better understanding of the game.

Saying that you simply do not have enough time to play ESO to possibly farm the mats is not an argument.
Welcome to the real world, time is a resource.
Those that can invest more time into playing ESO are going to achieve more than you out of it. Welcome to the real world.
I would like to learn how to speak German, Japanese and Spanish but I simply do not have the time to do so, this is not a reason for me to convince everyone to make them easier to learn so I don't need to invest as much time. Welcome to the real world.
And the final point, these are aesthetic motifs. You do not NEED these items, they do not effect your gameplay.
Those going for full achievement clear of the game already understand you need to invest time to do so.
Welcome to the real world, stop your complaining.
quit all the crying, its a free game, how else are they supposed to make money to keep the game up and running other than adding things to the crown store people like. if you have extra cash, buy it on the store later, if you have extra time, just grind the gold. This game is pretty simple to grind gold fast
I never asked for this payment model, so I feel that I have the right to criticize it when it negatively affects my enjoyment of the game. In any case, "grind the gold" is no longer an answer when the mercenary style stones are bound on pick up.quit all the crying, its a free game, how else are they supposed to make money to keep the game up and running other than adding things to the crown store people like. if you have extra cash, buy it on the store later, if you have extra time, just grind the gold. Did they mess up badly by selling Glass motifs quickly? Our perspective does not matter. The only perspective that counts is the one from accounting. If they made money, the lesson learned is 'put it in the crown store'.
Obviously the community will be upset if these appear on the crown store with in a short timespan, I will be upset about this.
It's a disgraceful move to pull by ZOS.
I think they realised how bad a call it was to put glass on the store 9 days after it's release and hope they will not mess up that badly again.
Of course they will appear on the store eventually, I'd like to see it once the following DLC is out with it's new motifs, then put the old ones on the store. But will just have to wait and see, the points I made are still valid even if they appear on the store.

And you think this is a BAD thing?! Gaming community just keeps getting worse. My word.
