Weapon swap cancels magelight!

Is that supposed to happen? Never noticed this on any other spell.

Yes it is supposed to be that way, persistent buffs like inner light and mage light, as well as sorcerers pets are only active while you have them on your bar, if you switch to a bar without them they will deactivate. If you want them to persist you need to have the ability on both bars.

If you want your toggle abilities to stay active during a weapon swap you need to slot said ability on both bars.

And not only on both bars, but in the same POSITION on both bars as well. If you have it in slot 1 on one bar, but slot 3 on the other, it will still cancel it.

It doesn't matter what slot they are in just as long as it is on both bars.

Did they fix that? It used to be that way. I had that happen with my sorc pets back when I first started playing. I'll test it next time I log in.

I'm at work otherwise I would have tested it to be 100% sure. But from what I remember the number slot has no effect.

If I'm wrong then my bad D:

Talking about toggling- what does the mages guild passive mean when it addresses "non toggle" ability?

Old news. Every toggle skill is like this.

If the ability is on one bar and is a "toggle", weapon swapping to another bar (or using another method of going to another bar) will cancel the ability.
If the "toggle" ability is on both the current bar, and active, and you go to another bar where the ability is slotted, it should remain active. Position on the bar should not matter.

    That's good to know.

Can you ask Uncle Sheogorath if he will grant me.. and only me the bonus to spellcasting and ability to see sneaking characters without me having to actually have the skill on my skill bar.

... I'll bring some cheese!

I know that bit is likely just humor, but you really should consider allowing toggles to stay active even if slotted only on one bar.

I'm one of the few who was playing Beta when it was that way and is still around. I thought it was balanced then and I still think it is.
