the whole magic vs stamina resources was a bad idea. and they won't stop it. trying to keep alive a system that is broken...just results in a broken system cobbled together.

SWTOR recently eliminated all stats and just make them one...so much easier

just get rid of stamina and magic altogether.

You might be right but the problem is this is still based off the Elder scrolls series of games so to keep that feel you have to have the magicka/stamina system where as SWTOR is its own entity not based on a previous system not even the old Republic rp games that came b4 it :(

I agree with you that scaling damage off of these two attributes was a phenomenal mistake, without also doing something with health as well to represent the tank/warrior option. I've talked about it in a few threads, my main place for it is:
    forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/2332392#Comment_2332392

Basically I think they need to either pull out the damage scaling from stam/mag and let gear handle the balancing, or they need to have health also scale tanking abilities thereby balancing many of the issues inherent to the system, namely the capacity to spam max capacity shields with maximum damage output ad infinitum. While hardened ward is a prime example it most certainly is not the only one, so please dont' think I'm attacking Sorcs here. In fact, on my Sorc tank I'd really like this as an option, right now I feel Health just needs love, or magicka and stamina need to see a nerf...

JUST NO! We do not need the massive dumbing down for halfwit mouth breathers in this game like SWTOR is doing. Stamina based classes should be using mostly weapon based attacks, given some of the weapon based attacks could use a severe renovation, I am looking at you brawler for 2 handed, the system is far from broken. SWTOR is -not- a game -anyone- should be looking to for an example when it comes to balancing or game improvement. Honestly the only stamina morphs that there should be are the defensive ones imo, most stamina based weapon classes have a dot, so giving us some dot morphs was kinda dumb.
