Public Dungeons Underwhelming?

Anyone else think so? I mean the dungeon itself is really cool aesthetically, but I can solo the whole thing. I was kind of hoping to see the level of challenge we saw in IC in public dungeons at least.

I also think the end bosses in the delves could afford to be a little more mechanically challenging, idk, is that too much? I mean something that can be 110% solo'd, but just something that makes you use your head.

Well, it is a solo zone. If their difficulty is keeping in with the other zones that are relatively solo then I'd say its ok.

I made it through 1 of them, did the quest, wasn't exactly a challenge. Wanted to do some of the champions but couldn't find any, must've been killed before I got there.

It is always nice when a player feels that everyone playing the game is up to their skill/CP level and therefore because they can do something, everyone else can too. But the reality is that ESO is filled with unskilled players and making content difficult for them is a surefire way to get players to leave the game.

Example... last night I was in a level 41 delve exactly at level 41... and TWO players came in, one a level 40, the other 38... and guess what, they both died while fighting the delve boss! Yet, I had solo'd that same boss easily just a short time before. So it just goes to show that just because "I" might be able to handle something easily, other players simply cannot.

It has been noted by ZOS in another thread that the Wrothgar npc's are underpowered with regards to damage and they will be getting a buff.

    Sad truth.
There is a large amount of incredibly bad players in this game. Everyone who attempts to do daily pledges with random groups, knows what I am talking about.
From DDs that don't do anything but spamming light attacks for dps to healers who require 20 seconds to recognize an ally is wounded.

All of them would complain if monsters in Orsinium are challeging. They don't seek for challenges, they seek for easy content.

    Trinimac is my shield,
    Magnus is my mind.

I have seen a VR13 die to TWO VR9, only 2, zombies at Tava's Blessing, before the IC update. I watched them start the fight at full health then die shortly thereafter. While some of us can beat most content in this game with ease, you have to remember there are some that cant kill 2 zombies well below their level without struggling.

There is plenty of easy content in this game.

The very concept of "public dungeon" has always been to be something you do with a group. So I hope that without being overwhelming, the challenge can be raised to the point where you actually need a group to do group content.

I ran one of the public dungeons a few nights ago with a Guildie. A random ended up tagging along and we mowed down the boss and her trash adds with a surprising amount of ease. I mentioned in group chat that the battle was really easy and he pointed out that there were three of us in a public dungeon just thrashing that poor boss.

Still feel like it was a little too easy, but I can accept that there are people who would have serious issues when by themselves or even in small groups.

There are GROUP dungeons for groups, PUBLIC dungeons are meant to be content for those who are solo OR grouped. So don't confuse "Public" dungeons with "Group" dungeons, as they are totally separate content. I can typically solo Public dungeons without much problem, but I certainly cannot do a Group dungeon solo... at least the one I tried a while back I got wiped out in short order... of course, I sucked at that point and now have a bit more skill under my belt. Just saying. Groups dungeons are designed for GROUPS, while Public dungeons are designed to be group or solo, but definitely doable solo if you're skilled.

I was running VR Bonesnap Ruins (public dungeon in Stormhaven) solo last night and ran into a group of 3.
Watched them for a while and they were doing OK but i could see them struggling with some of the bosses.
Heck, i died to one of the bosses twice until i figured out how to deal with him.

I think that some of the content is too easy but maybe after 2+ years of playing ESO it's really just me who has gotten used to the game mechanics.
