Official Feedback Thread for Subtitles

This is the official feedback thread for our new subtitles. Specific feedback the team is looking for includes:

Did you use the subtitles, and did you like them?
Was it easy to find how to enable them?
Did you notice any issues while using subtitles?

In my opinion the subs could be a bit smaller, find the text pretty big, ui wise it looks good and clean

I saw them, they were too big and intrusive. I much prefer seeing them in the chat window which I always activate npc dialogue for.

They are good.

But addons that do the same thing can be moved around the screen, and have the font size adjusted. If you do this then I would drop the addon.

Took me a bit to find the setting in Audio. I was expecting it to be in Interface.
The size of it is fine for me but my eyes are older than most on here

Wandering around the city and listening/watching it seems to be accurate and working correctly so far.

Have been trying these for a while now, and something that immediately stands out is that they are quite big. They seem disproportionately large when compared to the rest of the text in the PC UI, such as the dialogue text and interaction prompts. The font style is a bit different as well. I think if the size and font were more similar to dialogue text, they would look much better. A slider in the settings menu for subtitle size would also be good.

I know this is a bit of a necro, but I just came back to this game and noticed the subtitle option, and just had to say THANK YOU DEVS

This was one of those features I remember asking for back in beta.
I personally love larger text size on the screen. Right now I have my interface size all the way up and the size is just about right for me, so please don't force it smaller on me

Again, THANK YOU for finally implementing this. LOVE IT!

Hmm, Interface Size is a good point. Do Subtitles scale with the interface, or are they fixed? Still, it's a bit inconsistent when all non-menu text is a particular size (I'm thinking of NPC dialogue and interaction prompts) and then the subtitles are just slightly bigger than that.

Yeah... I agree the font size / style doesn't really match - at least with the keyboard/mouse UI. (It looks like it was picked to match the Gamepad UI instead...)

I don't have much of an issue with that, except that it tends to overlap the text for interacting with things and other players. Might be nice to make the font smaller and shift it just a bit higher.

Ah, now that's a good point. Perhaps they ported the Gamepad UI subtitles without redesigning them to match the PC UI. If so, maybe they'll address that inconsistency.
