How does the cross-faction grouping work?

I've tried inviting my friends on other alliances to do a dungeon but it won't let me invite them because they are on another alliance. Does it only work through the grouping tool?

In other words you cant invite your xfaction now, but eventually you will. #Fingerscrossed1 -

Yeah, it's only the LFG tool.
Which, idk, is good for the game overall, but I think we're all so used to not using it, that it seems alien to actually use it as intended now.
I think in general, everyone should really try to use it as much as possible to prove it actually works, which will let others know it works, and then maybe putting groups together won't be such a PITA anymore especially when you can't find that last person.0 -

Does the possibility exist that one makes friends while playing . . . perhaps finding like-minded folks in a guild that allows members to be in all factions?
