Battle levelling is so that you can do the DLC regardless of what level you are, and use that content to level up at an appropriate pace for your level. For me, for example, I will be using Battle-levelled Orsinium to rank up in Veteran Ranks, since I don't want to do Cadwell's quests.

Yes group finder is broken but you have to be proactive about these things rather than spend your time complaining, you could have found a group in the time!
As a heads up, there are always a mass of people at the Undaunted base outside Elden Root raring to get the dailies done, you can always ask for groups there.
On the subject of Battle Levelling (BL), what's more unfair is that slower paced and casual gamers could be penalised and not able to play the new DLC; that would be why it is present, as Enodoc said, it gives all players a (sort of) equal chance to enjoy the DLC and areas involved.
You would get less XP from the mobs, yes, but you'd still get full XP for all the quests and location completions, and Veteran quest XP was boosted by 50% in Update 7.terrordactyl1971 wrote: »Battle levelling is so that you can do the DLC regardless of what level you are, and use that content to level up at an appropriate pace for your level. Ok, so if I want to go straight from Coldharbour to Orsinium.......let's assume I can get from level 50 to VR 4 once I've done all of the content in Orsinium.
Does that mean that if I start Cadwells silver I will get hardly any XP as I have already overlevelled in Orsinium...which would make staring Cadwells even more painful if I am not earning any XP until I reach the third or fourth zone?
Is that how it will work?

Max level of quests is technically 50, at vet ranks you are also technically level 50.
Put it this way, on my vr15 templar I noticed I forgot the ad starter island in silver which is vr1, the mobs didn't give exp, but I got half a rank by just doing the quests.
You will receive full XP credit for monsters 1-3 ranks below you.
You will receive 75% of XP for monsters 4 ranks below you.
You will receive 30% of XP for monsters 5 ranks or more below you.
Note: This does not affect levels 1-50.
