They should give sword n board a weapon type buff passive like swords ignore additional armor for pierce armor axes add a strong bleed maces add a chance of stun daggers increased crit or something similar to give a lil more offense stanve on sword n board

McSwaggins✭✭✭It makes no sense having an offensive passive for a sword and board. They're used for tanks mostly, and block casters, so all of the passives should be defensive ones3

✭✭✭Umm does a sword no stab a mace not smash an axe not cleave a dagger not shank? Shouldn't matter if you have a shield with it this still stab shank cleave and smash.2 -

As i stated in another thread, I absolutely disagree to apply offensive passives to 1HS. I see no point in this.
Defensive passives for the weapon types in 1HS tree would be more interesting. Something like:
sword: add a chance to parry
mace: due to the brunt, decreases enemy movement-/attackspeed
axe: adding an low-damaging AoE (melee range, 180° cone), stunning all npc enemies for 1-2 seconds with 10 sec cooldown
dagger: maybe increases movementspeed by a significant amount
These are just some ideas, but would be interesting. But all should be abilites to increase the tanking in Special situations with minimal to no offensive usage.4 -

✭✭✭tank or not the use of a weapon is to kill stuff not take all its abuse... if I sat here slapping you in the face because your a tank will you just defend or punch my lights out... you want so much defense may as well dual wield a shield in each hand... heavy armor and shield is your tank the sword is its cannon use it. shields block weapons kill simple explanation.. is there such thing as too much tanking not enough dmg?1 -
You are already able to kill with your weapon on 1HS. It's just slower, with less dmg, than other weapon trees. That is perfectly fine in Terms of balancing. You should keep in mind, that this is a game and not the reality. You basicly sacrifice offensive power for defensive power.
And i know enough builds, which doing good amounts of dmg while utilizing the defence of 1HS.
The skill line is simply dedicated to the players (and Group) defence.0 -
