Selling said vanity item in the crown store makes it lose its original purpose. Ok...I think you misunderstand me. The crafting motif is a cosmetic item that any and everyone should have access to. The emperor title is a mark of skill for those in pvp. It's apples and oranges. I wouldn't expect anyone to recieve that title or costume unless they earned it. It's completely different for the motif. You don't even need to be great at pvp to acrue that many AP. You just need to grind for hours and hours. So don't act like being able to afford that motif is some feat in skill. Just like most everything else in the CS (aside from unique pets, mounts and costumes) those who purchase items there are doing it for convenience sake or for a unique look for their toon.

Oh and just because there are a couple dungeons in the IC dlc doesn't mean that pve stole that content from you. When pve and pvp are mixed like that, it's the pvpers that usually come out on top. You guys get to harass those who simply want to progress up to the higher level gear...those who want nothing to do with fighting other players for loot. You guys got your pvp zone where you can flex your noob ganking muscles and assert dominance over those who don't even want to be there, but are forced to. So you can pretty much chalk up most of the gear, crafting mats and motifs from IC as a pvp exclusive.

Make it only available for purchase with AP, fine, but don't tie it to a PVP ranking, and don't make it bound on purchase. That way PVPers can turn around and sell it to PVEers for gold and have a new source of income!

It should more like this as it somehow already was/is in game (Screenshot from June 2014), but who knows what ZOS finally decided to go with...

At least none of the styles shown off in the video look even remotely similar to this one so my guess is the shown armor is only showing the new drop sets (with whatever style), not the crafting styles.
