Champion Points Being Capped at 501 With New Update

My reaction when I see all the people that promised CP wasn't that big a deal, but are now whining that a cap of 501 is too low, or even a cap at all is ridiculous.

s3vqg.jpg

And I'm just sitting here with my 200 CP, rubbing my hands together laughing maniacally at all the people that aren't even good with the CP they have right now.

The tears will be delicious.

500 is perfect. I'm really happy about this change. I only have one character, barely stopped playing and I'm only at 300CPs. The only valid and understandable reason why people would be above is because they have alts, really. Otherwise, it's pure grinding which got nerfed and isn't possible to accomplish anymore.

I think the cap is too low.

I don't grind at all and will already be over it. All my vets were capped out before CP even came out, so I didn't get much from leveling them other than finishing up some quests.

Most all my CP other than IC is from just playing pvp, and not for ten hours a day either.

It should be capped, I think 600 would be a good start, but if players that didn't grind and just play the game consistently are already there a month before it rolls out (and will be at that cap for months until new content next year) then it's too low.

This is excellent news. I am also sitting here with my ~200 CP and loving the delicious tears of those grinders who had such an unfair advantage in PvP... just bloody awesome.

ZOS has, so far, done one thing right this whole time too bad it has taken 2 years and too bad it's to reverse a problem that their *** stupid system created in the first place... mentally deficient is a good descriptor I think.

Why issit selfish ? Just because some people can grind in cracked wood cave everyday for crazy hours and grind in other places like bangkorai last time in order to get a huge advantage over people ? Some people got work and real life to attend to , we dont have the time to grind like crazy in games. That's the reason why so many of my friends who just came back to game recently quit after playing 1 day because of the CP curve.

Lies HAX!!! Impossible!!! Everyone know the only way you get above 4 cp is by grinding in cracked wood cave for 10 hours a day.

Its like its possible to earn that amount of CP by just playing the game, but half the people that talk about it haven't been playing the game.

Is it just me or is ZoS admitting that people don't play their game?

Don't understand some reasoning in this thread. Who cares how you got your CP? If you have more than most players, it's an imbalance. A seasonal cap is no solution, but better than what we have now and it might make the game a bit more enjoyable while it is dieing anyway.

Leveling alts equates to less than 10% of my champion point pool. Leveling alts is not nearly the same as grinding champion points, in the sense that all players leveling from vr1 to vr16 will have earned exactly the same amount of champion points in that time frame.

I found the problem to be following: the cap of 501 is kinda reasonable - now. In a month? No.
I'd have said 600 to be a better number. Especially considering how long the cap is gonna stay there.

And people with 200 CP having a party right now: you guys are not gonna start earning 300 cp till the next cap increase. If you didn't manage to earn more than 200 since march (or 130 for then-v14) you guys won't ever be able to reach the cap. But yeah. Go on and feel proud for punishing those hard that played the game more than you did (I'm not even talking about grinding). 99% of them will still wreck you in PVP even with less CP than before.

There is hardly no reason why it wouldn´t be capped. Only ones who might get salty are the ones who grinded like crazy to get over 1000+ CPs. If PvP gets interesting (balanced, no lag) we might see some of the gone-for-now players make come back.

    B is for Bungler's Bane.
    C is for Comberry.

Basically the case for me and the majority of my guild. While i (and most others) did grind with the release of IC to get materials and jewelry. Well, we already hit the cap before IC release and that was with only playing pvp (a playstyle not known for yielding tons of CP).

We´re mainly just baffled by this decision honestly. Why would you sub to eso+ now. Where is any longterm progression for pvp play at all?

I think 600 would be more reasonable.

Hardcap the system (at like 1-1.5k) or remove it. The moving cap solution is a blanket quick fix thats not gonna last long. (I am happy for the change because i have low CP (325) but i am beginning to see the negatives of this more and more)
Banned for Naming and Shaming exploiters. Great ideology ZOS.

Not a grinder. Have 153 CP, am very salty. a lot of interest in playing this game past endgame and in the long term just went out the window. and i found PvP to be more interesting because of CP.

was just talking to Guilds about the possibility of this change the other day. you really are gonna see a lot of good players leaving with this change. and not even grinders or op players in anyway just people who've been playing since beta.
