Seriously, this is all they could come up with? What a joke.

Akaviri Crafting Style
The secrets of the Akaviri crafting style have been uncovered by scholars on the front lines of the Alliance War!

Siege merchants in Cyrodiil will sell chapters of the Akaviri Style for large amounts of Alliance Points.
To learn an Akaviri style chapter, you must have at least Rank 9 in at least one of the Metalworking, Tailoring, or Woodworking passives.
The merchants will also sell the raw style material needed to craft Akaviri items, Ancient Scale, for a modicum of Alliance Points.
You must refine ten Ancient Scales together into one Goldscale in order to use it in crafting Akaviri arms and armor.
Once refined together into Goldscale, the item is immediately bound to your account. If you wish to trade them, you must do so in their unrefined form!

I am sure you will be able to buy them on the crown store within 2-4 week after the DLC....

Are the "chapters" bound? If not, and depending on AP cost, that might at least be a way to convert AP to Gold.

Yeah, I have no real interest in crafting styles. I am still hoping that AP will be made to be less useless in some other form, as this just seems a bit weak. But I suppose it is better than nothing, and some people would be interested in it. Just not me.

How is adding a crafting style new content for PvP players? Like at all?

Yeah, I rather have them add new V16 armors which are on par with the PvE shoulder/head gear. I don't PvE and I don't care if they would cost 1 million AP. At least then it's something to PvP for.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Ofc we'd all prefer to have the PvP sets scale to v16 so we can actually get some more build diversity and value for our AP.

Since that's not happening, I'm at least grateful that there'll be a way to convert AP->Gold via selling those motif fragments

Want to bet that the moment you spend all your AP on this akviri style, that they introduce VR16 AP gear?!

    Haha... Cracked Wood City, nice...

Wait, so ZOS made PvP useless by removing all incentives for it? What a surprise, ZOS has taken such good care of their PVP community thus far... And Cyrodiil isnt a wasteland right now, either...

    /endsarcasm

And no, a crafting style is not a PvP reward by any stretch of the imagination.

It would be if it's strictly tied to PvP ranks. Higher ranks, awesome armor.

This will most likely happen, yes. Fortunately you get AP just for doing PVP content.

PVP gear for doing PVP content sounds good to me.

FYI: Just saw it on Deltias stream, the crafting style books cost between 250k (for like boots and so on) and 500k (for swords for example) AP...

    3 at 100,000 AP = 300,000
    6 at 250,000 AP = 1,500,000
    5 at 500,000 AP = 2,500,000
To get all 14 chapters it requires 4,300,000 AP.[/quote]

Well, at least they are expensive, meaning we can make gold out of AP again. To kinda finance our fun

Well I just looked at the prices and if you have a few million AP you can buy the pages for the akaviri motif. I knew it was goin to cost a lot but I didn't think it was going to cost a small fortune. other than that I'm really liking the Orcinium DLC
