Cheers guys
I've just started the game up again and not been prompted for a password or anything (even though I changed my eso account password online) but I'm assuming I'm safe for now? Very worried about playing right now
Not yet but they've talked me through password changes and are now investigating my missing itemsI'm gonna start the game all over again with nothing and try to relax back into it in the meantime. I don't want to let the hackers win.

I had a nice, more helpful response this morning. The talked me through the password changes I need to make - apparently hackers access your account through email so be sure to change your email password often! I also was sent a separate email to allow me to change my game account password. So 3 passwords have been changed now
I followed the instructions so I'm hoping my account is safe(r) now. They said they will start investigating my missing items so I'll keep this thread updated.

You mean retrieving some e-mail sent code each time you log in, everyday, and copy/paste it ??
God no, I'd stop playing immediately.
I want a game, not a restricted access area with tons of control at the entrance.

I already have to copy and paste my password each time I play. I have no idea what it is. To do that, I have to log in first to my password manager.
I wish ESO could remember the password in a secure manner.
Hi @Cazzy - starting to think there's a lot to be said for carrying the really precious stuff around with you.
I'd consider keeping it under the mattress but we don't have a mattress!
Maybe we should sue the bank. All the bankers bang on about how safe our stuff will be.
Glad to hear you're making some progress.
