How do I restore my friend list?

As the title says, I would like to restore my friend list. Apparently this list being wiped was intentional, which makes absolutely no sense to me, but if that is the case, I would like to know how to restore it so that my xbox friends playing this game all appear on my friend list in game.

BullNetch✭✭✭stay logged on, wait for friends to log back in. Make sure to tell them to keep their xbox online status online.
I'm currently invisible on the guild roster, at the very least to myself. I have one person on friends list.

I can't make this work. All my ESO friends are gone, and my X-box friends do not populate the ESO list. Thus no point in adding friends to XBox live. PowerCycling (nice new word for Switch off/Switch on) doesn't work either, so, sorry Jessica, this wasn't helpful.
Question remains, how can I get my friends back?1 -
I also have this problem on xbox one na server, I have friends where they don't show up at all and I literally have to go through the guild roster just to find them and it's really a pain. Please fix asap0

Thanks for the reply. None of these things resolved the issue. Some friends that I know are still actively playing the game are not showing up on my list, so I have to send them mail, invites, etc through my Guild roster, which is cumbersome to say the least.

My friends did reappear after they logged in again after the update, but now the tracker thing that says where they are doesn't update at all.0 -
Zerkcie✭Mine seems to reset every day, or every time i log. One of the lesser issues being seen since the patch but still a issue that needs resolved.0

Ravens-Sonata✭✭✭The only way I have ever been able to fix this - is delete my friend off XB1 then add them on ESO which adds them back to XB1, however this is temporary -- it has gone blip on me several times0 -

Hey why don't you comment on the crowns with eso plus and the 303 error???? Have you seen the 20+ threads on those issues that aren't getting a response???? Tired of us being super annoying about this???? THEN ANSWER US!!!

VelociousLegend✭✭✭Friends list is also bugged for me as well (Xbox). In order to view my friends I must open friends, close, and re-open to view and even then only a fraction of my friends are visible - and yes they are online and logged into ESO since I was also in a party chat with said friends.
Not sure if this was fixed in today's incremental update, but was an issue as of 9/28/2015.0 -

This is SUPER FRUSTRATING as we are not all in the same Guilds so cant find each other by guild roster or voice chat.
All the ZOS stock help responses haven't helped - the list is still empty.0 -

scottperry00Soul ShrivenThis is ridiculous. Some of us pay for ESO plus and for me I have had issues with not getting the "special" stuff we are supposed to get with the subscription. I did not get the DLC and had to buy it myself.
But more to the point, this friends list issue has happened before. I had to delete my friends, have my friends delete me and then add them all back. Stupid. I love the game but am becoming more and more frustrated that things don't work correctly. We all waited an extended length for it's delayed release and now have to deal with bugs, I understand bugs to some extent are normal, but this is a bit much.
Fix the friends issue, the ESO Plus issues for the sake of the game. I love the game and do not want to see people stop playing out of frustration with the bugs and lack of support.
