war rank gears?

in the faq for alliance war, it states that some higher end pvp gears are rank restricted, that faq was a year or more.
however i have been unable to find these rank restricted gears anywhere yet.

so are these items in game?

Elite PvP vendor, that sadly only goes up to vr14, miss you so much Ravaging etc.......;(

that isnt war rank restricted..... its just vr14 gear, so level restricted

Technically the Elite PvP gear was rank restricted, except not really. You had to buy it with AP, so at least one of your characters would need to be a high enough rank to have earned that much AP, buuuut then you could just bank the gear and any of your characters at a high enough level could wear it.

i do have a set of ravaging legendary for vr14.
however considering that there is an achievement for killing a grand warlord, it should also have gears thats rank restricted.

Being a high rank and having a lot of experience killing players is more than enough of an advantage, theres really not a good reason to also give these players a stat based advantage.

They already get that through gaining a lot of champion points from how much they have played.

That's most likely the reason AR tied gear doesn't exist, but I wouldn't mind seeing some that just altered cosmetics. If AP gear ever gets upgraded which it probably won't, I would love to see Prefect Style Ravager etc etc. The set bonuses would be the same, but the armor would look different.

EDIT: That's kinda what I thought the IC pvp gear was gonna turn out to be, but it wasn't and I was really disappointed.

I was disappointed too. PVP Rank restricted armor might have made Zav actually good.

that is if a character is actually VR.
however i have seen characters that isnt VR being ranked higher than a vr player.
so obviously this non vr character has played much more pvp than the vrbut because of stats and cp, the non vr wont stand much chance against the vr.

im all for the rank based gears, because players actually need to pvp alot to gain ranks.
as compared to grinding to vr16 in a week or 2, getting captain or higher ranks can take months.

afterall a tyro actually killing a grand warlord .... is just weird
