Is Imperial City Dying?

I went into Azura's star yesterday on ps4 na side and the arena, which is the primary farming spot for tv stones, only had 4-5 people inside, as opposed to the usual 20. We wiped on the last boss as there simply wasn't enough to take her down.

I talked to my guild, which is a guild of 500 members and none of them were in imperial city. Many of them were done with it and just went on to play regular cyrodiil.

Does anyone else notice declining interest in this dlc's content?

There is still a queue to get into Chillrend (EU PS4) most of the time (90 people atm).

This is AD populated campaign so not many people are in Cyrodill. It looks like the other alliance campaigns are still full too (Haderus and Thornblade for Ebonheart).

I honestly loved playing in Cyrodiil, but for the most part both seem to be losing population and especially Cyrodiil.

In PTS for IC I didn't see where this would hold the larger of the population's attention for too long.

Also.... I think one of the big issues (still) in pvp is the combat lag many report having regularly.

The game itself is loosing its population. Many people quit playing this game because of the nerfs that Ic brought to the game. I have people on my friends list that purchased the IC update, played for about a week, and haven't logged back on since. Also the RNG for this game is *** terrible. Not too many people are happy about the grind for no rewards this game offers.

Me personally, im about ready to give up too. This IC update has been a giant mistake since its inception and has failed to deliver a pleasant experience for the money that I payed to have access to the content so I could get the Items that I needed from it to play in Cyrodiil with. I now find my self stuck in Deshaan, unable to progress my character, because the items I need are bound to account and not tradeable. The RNG is so *** horrible in this game. I just want 1 *** item so I can go back to playing in cyrodiil and it will not drop for me. They need to just put the items in the crown store so we can skip purchasing these bulshit DLC zones that we are not interested in anyway.

So what are TV stones good for ? Runes? That's it? *** that.

Undeniable, it is dying. I remember during the first 1 week, it was so alive.
But now there are times where I can travel through all districts without even finding a single player. There are some veteren IC players who are there everyday. But it has become pretty empty.

This is obvious though. There is almost no reason to play it anymore as soon as you have everything. Cyrodiil is priority nr. 1 again. Though I'm surprised IC only lived for like 1-2 weeks until most of the players were gone.

I know that intermittent reinforcement (rewards at random and distant intervals) can generate interest. However if they are too far and few between, one sees an "extinction response" which means the behavior/engagement stops and the entity goes elsewhere. This appears to be happening.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Dunno about that small scale, only PvP i've seen lately in IC are these standard 9-12 man mini-buses farming PvE'ers, solo'ers and trophy's with Proximity Detonation. Not sure if they actually think they're doing "small scale"?

Of course, they're looking for bigger numbers to farm and fight, but the large raids aren't there any more so RIP pugs.

Than of course all gankers waiting for you to engage multiple NPC's and run low on resource, so they can get a kill without having to do any actual fighting. I dont think that's small scale either lol.

But for sure, IC isn't completely dead yet. Still people that need to farm stuff.

Half and half. No it's not dieing cause that's the only place to get any ruby materials cause ZOS hates crafters with a burning pashion and yes it is cause most of the time one faction is just spawn camping another either right outside there door or there first area.

I feel its declining, because of all the freaking gankers in the sewers, just farming others for their stones, sewers should be PVE only and top should be PVP

Initial hype is going to go away, that was inevitable.

Plus, a lot of the people that play a lot probably already got what they were after gear-wise already.

Too much grind for not enough reward imo

TV's are used for crafting materials and buying bags in hope to get the polymorph or a pet.

The gear sets are broken and have some really terrible 5 peice bonuses.

I can craft 9 traits to make my Armor Master set which blew the other peices out of the water.

Its the same old thing, log in, get to the sewers, find or form a group, grind.... grind... grind.... run into enemy alliance... kill them or die to them, back to base, deposit your TV, and repeat.

get bored of that? try going solo into the city to complete... what.... repeatable quests for what... more TV?

This DLC flopped IMO, the only good thing that came from it was The Armor Master set.

No, but I sure hope it does. Short but sweet is how I'd sum up the IC DLC. There just isn't much replay value there other than gear grind. It's too bad they didn't put some PvP objectives in IC that had some meaning.

Yesterday it was very busy in IC on PC EU server so i would say No but i guess most PvE when the have done the so call PvE quest the will stop be in IC and honest i dont blame them for the hardly any PvE value after you have complete PvE and got to VR 16 there.
