Stuck in a costume, costume is not in inventory

My character was wearing the dark seducer costume, and then put on another costume for a quest. I lost the quest costume, and the dark seducer costume appeared on my character again but isn't in the appearance slot (or any other slot) of my inventory, so I can't take it off.
