This has been request many times in the past. Damage shields offer a 100% crit resistance, that's alright. But do they really need to negate even more mechanics ?
I don't see why abilities such as Elemental Drain and Force Siphon aren't allowed to proc on damage shields. Damage shields negate too many things and totally counter some abilities, that would be fun to use in pvp, but it won't work against too many targets.
Also NPC damage shields disable elemental drain etc.
We've allowed quite a few sets to proc on damage shields with this update, time to allow these abilities to do the same

This would open the gates for some new builds, something that can be usefull in general. Because right now it's more like 'Well, I could use this against a few targets, but too many targets will be immune to this. I'd rather take something universal and reliable instead'
I think, this is an important step, that should have happened much earlier.
