Why would you even purify mark target, if it's a 1vs1 situation just fight him... Save your cleansing ritual for his root?

Repeat throughout the whole "fight" until some other enemy jumps in, and then another, and maybe another. What is the point in it being spammable?

While my motive isn't quite as trololol I do mark people while in stealth without the intention to follow-up for the sole purpose of giving them a bit of a scare and putting them on alert. At times it can be an effective way to delay reinforcements to a siege if the marked one and their friends actually bother to take the time to search for me. Other times I mark without following up I do so just to prevent someone using stealth from being able to.

As for the main topic of this thread it sounds like OP is just salty at Nightblades and finding something to nitpick. I mean really what's next complaining about Soul Trap?

Since everyone is busy trying to nerf NBs for daring to be sneaky assasins 'cos they got ganked that one time I feel the treatment should be spread to all classes and builds until we get to the stage where everyone just stands around looking at each other in PvP until the 3 hour global cool down from the one remaining skill has worn off...

Why exactly do you need to purify it? If you purify it once and he marks again and you do the same process yet again, just leave it. It's not hurting you, it's just a nightblade tracking you. Maybe he's marking you until a fellow teammate comes to help. Have you tried going into stealth first and then purifying? Unless he's near you, then I don't think he should be able to remark you. Even so, unless he attacks you the mark isn't hurting you. If it's a stamina nightblade (which let's face it, a certain streamer has turned cyrodiil into nothing but stamina nightblades) he just wasted a good chunk of magicka marking you. I agree that nightblades just marking you is annoying but if he doesn't attack within the first 10 seconds I just tea-bag the ground and get back on my mount and leave.

Snares, however, are very annoying and can't stand those who do nothing but spam them. Especially those who are running in groups and one guy just spams frost staffs/caltrops/eruption etc. I really don't know how snares made it to live like this.

If he's just spamming mark target at you then he's ding it wrong, I've found the best use of mark target is to queue it up with a hard hitting attack, you basically hit mark target and fire off a hard hitting attack immediately, that way you get a big attack in before their reaction time kicks in and they purge it.

It should go more like ..

Mark Target -> Boom
Purge
Mark Target -> Boom
Purge
Marke Target -> Boom
P... oh bugger

I ignore the mark most of the time. The time I do not ignore it is when I am doing the Healz for Meals thing at keeps. Cuz when we go against well led groups that NB who marked me has singled me out for a mass beat down (Target designator, Lazing the target and so forth). And it happens alot. Any other time I ignore it.

No need to nerf it. Just recognize that its widely used in three scenarios.

1. Mark then attack
2. So others in their group can focus on you
3. To troll you

There's some truth to that, maybe it should be renamed to 'Mock Target' and have a morph that puts a funny hat on the target?

On my Templar I love when a NB opens with Mark. Gives me a chance to throw up some defenses while I continue on my way, then I purge it and keep walking, prepared for an attack.

It gives me a good clue as to the skill of my stalker (a good killer would always open with high damage, not a warning shot), and if they are just trying to be annoying then there is nothing to fear anyway.

This kind of nonsense is the reason why we have nerfs, have to relearn our toons, have to respec constantly, and have to constantly worry about what's going to be nerfed in upcoming patches. I hope everyone learns from this and stops posting nonsense and fallacious requests that mean nothing and that do nothing but continue to harm the PVE community.
