    Yeah well, aren't we all.
Sell the stuff that you don't need from IC and make enough money to cover for your repairs and then some. I am a PvP player myself, but because of the PvE aspect presented in IC, I've made more than 700k in sales, that's more than I've ever made in such a short period of time, and if I can, so can you, just don't be lazy and so entitled.
I've not even done half of sewers, and not done any grinding at all, it all comes from PvP and the initial questing and the mobs you are forced to kill inbetween. I believe the IC grinders now are so filthy rich as anything if I made so much just from some casual PvP and quests.

Wow... from my time spent in IC, I don't think I've spent that much on repairs. I at least try to not die. I guess if you're a tank type and absorb a lot of damage, then I can see the issue.

I also sell the trophies for the vaults that I don't want, and that sort of makes up for any loss I get.

yeah I put the blues in the guild store for 500 gold they sell quick haha I generally make more money in the sewers from drops than my repairs.. tho I am a healer. I do know in an old MMO I had played when the tanks repir cost was bad it was like 300k which is nothing to compare to a 1.7k repair for full broken haha. but what we would do is give the tank x amount of gold for tanking for his repairs so he wouldn't get the shaft and lose money every time we did dungeon. maybe could be something we start here to help mitigate the repairs of tanks so they can make coin and not keep burning a hole in the pockets

then again it was on pc and they had a chatbox woth a world chat horn to get ppl for a group. and tanks were hard to find because no one wanted to lose money just for tanking that and it was hard. most of the tanks were created because the dd and healers who had a ton of coin would create them to do dungeons haha

What do you do with all the Trophies and Gear you loot from the sewers? PPL of my guild made literally MILLIONS already just selling trophies, deconstructing stuff and selling materials. 50k repairs ^^
Jeckll has quit the game. Thanks for the great time.

Maybe it's not so harsh on me, as I'm repairing v4 gear, being v5.

What surprised me more than anything is where all the gold came from over the last 2 weeks

I mean agility robust rings sold for a million a piece. My trade guild did 40 million in sales in one day....

I myself have done over 6 million in sales and am 1.5 million richer now than before the ic patch, so i spent 4.5 million on new gear, motives , trophies to gamble with. I thought it was only 2 million lol, but MM has the statistics..

But the eso playerbase is a closed system so all those millions were there in the system

I am just surprised because a lot of players like pvp-ers act like the are always poor.

This patch has revealed something for sure.

.../...But the eso playerbase is a closed system so all those millions were there in the system.

ESO isn't a closed system. Each time you kill a (humanoid) mob, finish a quest or a writ, sell an item to the fence or to the NPC vendor, it's gold injected into the system.
There are also a few ways for gold to leave the system (guild taxes, NPC purchases, repairs, guild weekly bids).

We have been content-starved for 12 months. There had been no new stuff or sets for nearly a year before the IC patch. Once you were geared and stuff properly for your character(s), there wasn't much left to spend gold on.
We've been grinding and grinding for months, either via pure grinding or by levelling alts, both activities "produce" more gold than they cost.
That's where all the gold comes from. We were nearly all sitting on million(s) and now we are so impatient to try new and improved gear that we spend those millions without really thinking twice.

Obviously people who benefit most from this are those with the highest playtime to collect all the mats and stones and stuff... but why not, I don't mind. They must be sitting on dozens of millions by now.

I fear that prices will remain extremely high until Orsinium DLC, because until then, people who have not bought the DLC rely on those who sell the mats to get the new gear, thus the demand will remain very high.

I feel for them though because what I used to make "big" money with before (alchemy ingredients, mats, motifs), all this looks like peanuts now, not more than a few cents.

I maybe wrong here, but I noticed my repair costs are very cheap on my crafted sets.

These are the sets I use:
    Seducer set
    Whitestrakes set

I used to pay 1000+ gold to repair sets that i got from in game, but now with my crafted sets its between 100-500g to repair.

I made 700k last night with 3 pieces of jewerly, and 3 xyvkin. Motif..... So I don't see the problem if you don't need them sell it, really I already learn all the xyvkyn style I spend like 2 millions on it because I wanted my armor made in that style and I a completionist and now I have much more money that when the DLC came out, so to can make so much money from the doc, I am sitting around 600 rubedite ingots, 400 ancestor silk, 200 leather and 300 wood, so make your mats already made my v14 armor and i can del all that, so ic is a Gold mine the respira are nothing vs you Cab make

I am a PvPer, and I am very poor.

Example, yesterday I checked my mail and received 8000g as rewards for being a loyal PvPer. Within 3 hours I spent that 8000g and AP earned on sieges and mats to rebuild walls.

This is an every day thing, I normally spend 5000g a day + any AP I get + soul gems that costs 121g each.

    I am very poor.

You're complaining about 1k? I can make over twice that in a day just doing writs, half of which are for Iron, Jute/Rawhide, and Maple just because I don't do that stuff on my main but do the writs because I have a ton of those materials on my alts that do specialize in those crafts. I make this much because my main is currently VR2 and will only make more as he levels. Beyond that you can also steal treasures worth 100 gold for fine quality, 250 gold for superior, and if you're lucky 750 gold from epic quality. Repair costs are never an issue for me because I can keep the cash cow mooing without even using a Guild Trader. This is on top of the occasional funding for Inventory and Bank space increases and my daily horse lessons that run 2k a day (yes I have 8 characters lol) and a couple of my alts do writs daily to fund their own mount lesson and then some.

Long story short if 1k is bothering you then you need to find a way to make some cold harbour cash. See what I did there? :p

in IC sewers you can easily loot 5 weapons/armour pieces, each 250 gold worth. Sell them and you have the money to repair.
