Major problem - IC dungeon sets drop rate is unacceptable

Current drop rate of IC dungeons sets is unacceptable because of Bind on Pickup and random traits.

A chance to get necessary item ķset with needed trait is 1:210 (6 sets, 7 parts, 5 traits (as i know there no sturdy, exploration, traing traits ). If you are not a no-lifer who plays 8-10 hours a day, chances to collect 5xScathing Mage with divines trait before next DLC release is around zero.

My suggestions to solve a problem:
Increase drop rate of new sets items to 15-20% from bosses and to 50 % from last boss
OR
Remove random traits
OR
Make these item sets Bind on Equip.

I support this, we need a fast Reaction about this Theme.

Not only "We raised the Lootchance 0.1%", more like "We implement BoE Equip in the WGT & IP" and that fast please. The Players have waited long enough for new Sets, and now the most new interesting Dropsets, are locked behind a frustrating RNG System.

Zos, again, the Players waited long enough and Support your Ideas with their Money, act a little bit faster please. Maybe you look at other Games, like Wildstar and learn from them.

It's bad even for the 24/7 players, I know some who have put 40+ hours in those dungeons and hardly got anything decent or what they are looking for.

    The RNG is crazy bad.

They need to stop relying on RNG so much to extend the life of their tiny content and use a token system or a completely new idea system for rewards.

Maybe give the option to exchange a piece with a trait you don't want with an npc for a piece with a trait you do want.

Yes pls! Let PvE'rs do what they like best and us PvP players pay those PvE'rs with ingame gold for their efforts... just like how you pay a crafter for an item.

That way us PvP'rs don't have to spend days, nay weeks doing PvE dungeon runs which we don't like / hate.

I spent a whole evening farming the first boss of vwgt , we did about 12 runs

It is still a challenging boss even with experienced players.
Stuff did drop , like one out of 3 runs loot would drop for someone. But the result was that the tank ended up with 2 pieces of the dps set (overwhelming) and the others looted tanking gear. I got 2 pieces for tanking, one jolting and one imperium

Unless you play all 3 roles it really will take a long time. And not every pug will be able to even do this boss, as there are still people that have not even leveled legerdemain to 20 and put 4 skillpoints in break lock

it really will take ages and a good group to get the new gear in a set you can use. Never mind the traits.

I hear divines has been nerfed anyway

I forgot to mention that when you did the 25 runs to collect 150 daedric embers you open a chest that gives random pieces from the new sets

The only friend that openened the chest got tankgear and another piece he cant use for his build.

It would be much better to at least be able to open a chest that drops random pieces from the set you want, just like the greater telvar merchants sell boxes from a specific set.

You still will get doubles and wrong traits, but at least you then have a change to complete the set after like 250 runs.

    Also a good solution.

Sets like these should be bind on equip. Not only will the hardcore dungeon runners have a purpose of running the dungeon over and over, the people that don't want to, or can't do this, are able to just buy the items of off the dungeon runners.

    It's a win win.

I don't really even understand the purpose of bind on pickup. So what if someone gets an item they don't want. Why force them to keep or destroy it instead of selling or trading it to other players? What's the point of that? In the real world economy we can resell, trade or give away any item we obtain. Why does the game's economy behave so differently?

I would throw a milion gold for a new Bloodspawn helmet/shoulders into a guild store with a perfect trait but (as a PvP player) I am sick of running these crap PvE dungeons over and over to get nothing for like 19/20 runs and the 20th run rewards me with some light armor well-fitted bullsh**...

But sad enough, this topic is already months old and ZOS never reacted saying a single word about this...

I was talking with one of my Guilds the other night about this. I feel like an easy solution at least regarding Traits would be an option to replace the Trait with another. Perhaps make it to where you have to know either the Trait you're removing, the one you're putting on over, or both. Make it cost Gold and mats. Do SOMETHING so at the very least, content has to be run dozens of times over for a piece that you finally want, only to have a crap Trait.

I also agree that the game relies WAY too heavily on RNG and way too little on player skill and/or effort.

19 or 20 runs??? That's it? I am on run 72 for CoH and run 54 in CoA and no helm. The rng for a helm has made me not want the new gear at all. Actually thinking of leaving the game since I have done the content and because of rng I cannot get gear.

Before anyone says "its rng and supposed to be rare" Then explain how two people run the same instances 100 times each. The first guy comes out with 6 helms and the second guy comes out with zero. Yup, that is fair all the way. They both did the work and one guy was well rewarded for his time and effort while the other gets nothing. Not long till the guy with nothing leaves the game due to being disillusioned.

Best solution would be to add in items that allows players to farm items to change traits on gear. Similar drop rate to prismatic enchants and they would be rare enough to still be selective on which items you would want to use it on.

This. We have one player with us as substitute sometimes and he gets all the good stuff every-single-***-run we are running at least 3 times a day since WGT is out. Two of our group today said they won´t keep their sub because at the time they will have their stuff it will be useless because of the nerfs and stuff coming with Orsinium... seems our days in IC will end soon...

Throwing my name in here for this. This is totally unacceptable and it feels very disrespecting of our time.

For all its worth I am TOTALLY fine with things taking multiple runs, but the very thought of running my main team through normal ICP / normal WGT to gear up for the vet pledges is both heart-aching and daunting. We have run the dungeons more than 20 times already and only one person received a set item they want (and luckily with a good trait). In total, there's been maybe 4 set pieces which dropped between us, received by a player archetype who can't utilize them.

Either make them tradeable within a certain time frame and only to the group that ran said dungeon, or guarantee a set item drop from (AT LEAST) the last boss.

There's many reasons why WoW is / was popular and it's because they nailed the loot treadmill very well. This game only wishes it could come close to the carrot on the stick scheme. As far as I'm concerned, the Damn carrot isn't even out of the garden yet.

It's a win/win, people will profit monetarily from their work, while others who do not have the time can purchase, the difficulty of the content does not factor into it.
