Absolutely nobody thinks that the game ought to be bug free. That is simply a straw man. The fact that this is even brought up is evidence of players, who see themselves as being on one side of the conversation, being intellectually dishonest.

Many people think that quite a bit more care should be exercised with testing new code. As well, many players see a significant lack of attention and resources put to old bugs, poor code, bad communication and the like.

The vast majority of the complaints are not complicated. Players see a game that advertised as a B to near A level game but was actually launched and maintained as C list game. People in general, just like ESO players, do not like seeing potential wasted nor do most people like someone telling them that they will get significantly more than they actually receive.
^^^ That bolded part actually made me shed a tear..... Da TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!

This game could should have been the game that absolutely sent other MMO's into nuclear winter for the next 4-6 years!! This is ELDER SCROLLS for GOD sakes! The name alone was enough to draw enough hype all ZO$ had to do was "Not **_* up"

And well...... some of us feel that indeed they have in some areas and that is what will make the game better. Complaints are always going to smother any MMO developers forums...

It is ZO$ job to sift through the trash tears and drag out the golden nuggets that would actually help the games lifespan!

Wow. this thread has wandered WAY off track. Kinda reminds me of my waden forums. And, yes, these are FORUM skills. Sorry OP.

I'm taking the opportunity to revive and update an older post and make it relevant to the changes as of U9. As we troll on our Wadens in game differently, so must we on the forums.

Some updates for readability. Our builders are now Troll, Cooky, and Derail.

Furthermore, we have three stances that we can take on a topic:

Derailmination - we are determined to derail the topic no matter the cost. Our gambits generate additional Forum aggro.

Ferretment - the topic is suffering from a serious lack of ferrets... we must rectify this.

Trollness - we have the desire to Troll hard. Our gambits do additional trolling.

Without further ado, here are the Forum Gambits:

    Troll Line:

Deft Post (Troll-Troll): must be 10char or less
The Word (Troll-Cooky): B'b'b'bird bird bird buh bird's za word... interrupts train of thought, 25% chance to stun with awesomeness
Offensive Post (Troll-Derail): You quickly attack someone's intelligence.. twice. Generates mild forum aggro.

Power Troll (Troll-Cooky-Derail): You troll a post badly enough to cause the OP to take Trolling-over-Time.
Onslaught of Words (Troll-Cooky-Troll): You blabber incessantly, interrupting train of thought.
Trolling Strike (Troll-Derail-Troll): You quickly attack someone's intelligence.. twice, even harder. Generates mild to moderate forum aggro.
Reversing Post (Troll-Derail-Cooky): The post you are trolling loses some benefit of the doubt.

Mighty Troll (Troll-Cooky-Derail-Troll): You troll a post badly enough to cause the OP to take Trolling-over-Time (even harder).
Wall of Text (Troll-Cooky-Troll-Cooky): You plonk down an unrelated Wall of Text, interrupting train of thought.
Troll's Rush (Troll-Derail-Troll-Derail): You troll someone in the face, stunning them with your awesomeness on a Critical Troll.
Adroit Message (Troll-Derail-Cooky-Troll): You start mashing on your keyboard... this allows you to post 20% quicker.

The Dark Before the Troll (Troll-Cooky-Troll-Derail-Troll): Two furious posts allow you to catch your breath and fuel other trolling endeavors.
Unerring Troll (Troll-Cooky-Derail-Troll-Cooky): You troll a post in such a way that the OP can't avoid and takes Trolling-over-Time.
Waden's Troll (Troll-Derail-Cooky-Troll-Derail): You unleash your inner troll. You can troll more effectively for a short period of time.

    Cooky Line:

Defensive Post (Cooky-Cooky): You strike out and leave room to defend yourself from the trolls out there.
Impressive Mumble (Cooky-Derail): You mumble... impressively.
Pro-severe (Cooky-Troll): You eat a Cooky and feel better.

Cookys-Up (Cooky-Troll-Derail): You post a Cooky, distracting people and allowing you to more easily avoid their trolling.
Maddening Post (Cooky-Derail-Cooky): You post a maddening insult, leaching a small amount of forum aggro from other posters.
Safepost (Cooky-Troll-Cooky): You post a rather harmless post, giving you time to munch on more Cookys.
Defection (Cooky-Derail-Troll): You defect on a post, pretending to make amends. This severely reduces Forum aggro and lets you come back to troll another day.

Cooky-Mastery (Cooky-Troll-Derail-Cooky): As Cookys-Up but longer buff duration.
Celebration of Skillz (Cooky-Troll-Cooky-Troll): You pretend to brag about your 1337ness and eat Cookys while others arent paying attention.
Dance of Troll (Cooky-Derail-Cooky-Derail): You post a random vid involving dancing. People don't appreciate this and you leech a lot of forum aggro.
Cooky Tactics (Cooky-Derail-Troll-Cooky): You attempt to distract by explaining the difference between Cookys and clearly inferior Cookies. This leaves you less vulnerable to Tactical Trolling.

Restrollation (Cooky-Troll-Cooky-Troll-Cooky): You point the finger at another troll and munch on even more Cookys while others aren't watching.
Rollricktion (Cooky-Derail-Cooky-Derail-Cooky): You Rick-Roll a post... nuff said.

    Derail Line:

Gawd (Derail-Derail): You talk about Gawd, causing aggro.
Precise Derail (Derail-Troll): You derail a thread precisely and effectively. People don't like this. Generates forum aggro over time.
Word-Cry (Derail-Cooky): You cry words. Some people don't like this.

Piercing Derail (Derail-Troll-Derail): Utterly useless gambit; always use Precise Derail.
Fierce Retort (Derail-Troll-Cooky): You retort fiercely, insulting anyone who sides with the OP but makes you feel better with the more people you insult.
Brink of Derailment (Derail-Cooky-Derail): They're almost derailed, just tell them suckahs who's boss!

Spear of Derailment (Derail-Troll-Derail-Troll): Again, utterly useless gambit; always use Precise Derail.
Retrollution (Derail-Troll-Cooky-Derail): You come across as trying to resolve a dispute but instead troll it. This makes you feel even better.
Surety of Derailment (Derail-Cooky-Derail-Cooky): You tell the OP how useless their thread is and that surely it will be derailed. They don't like this and take Trolling-over-Time.
Derailation (Derail-Cooky-Troll-Derail): You call out, demanding a derail. You leech forum aggro from other trolls.
Resounding Derail (Derail-Cooky-Derail-Troll): You derail a thread on the Guardian forums, causing forum aggro over there and any of their trolls to try and troll this forum.

Exultation of Derail (Derail-Troll-Cooky-Derail-Cooky): You call the OP and everyone who sides with the OP a troll. They don't like this, but it gives you pleasure. Ultimate generator of forum aggro.
Derailution (Derail-Cooky-Derail-Cooky-Derail): You derail a thread that's already been resolved, causing Trolling-over-Time to everyone involved and potentially fearing them away from the thread.
Call to Derail (Derail-Cooky-Derail-Troll-Derail): You derail a thread outside the Waden forum and challenge them to try and derail one here. Of course, no one can hold a candle to our derailing ability.

In the event we encounter an overwhelming amount of Trolling, we also have a couple oh-bleep skills (on 6 month 9 day CDs):

Never-be-Trolled: You can declare that you'll never be trolled in anticipation of getting trolled hard. This is your get out of jail free card. Enjoy the moment, it won't come back for a while.
Disco Challenge: You are about to get trolled but hastily link a video that proves you shouldn't be trolled. That video is Rick Roll. You got away with it... this time.

We also have several ranged Ferret skills we can use regardless of stance (they do extra trolling in Ferretment though):
Improved Ferret Post - You fill a Guardian thread with ferrets and causes OP to take Trolling-Over-Time.
Argument Piercer - You derail a Guardian thread by posting "You can't use Ferrets - your argument is invalid" and causes OP to have less chance of succesfully reporting Troll posts for 30 posts.
Improved Hampering Forum Response Time - You fill Guardian forum with loads of animated GIFs of ferrets, causing the Guardian forum to overload and direct to the Maintenance page for 2 hours and respond 30% slower than the rest of LotrO Forums after that.
Ferrets of Fear - OP leaving a trolled Guardian thread is likely the last thing OP does before raging hard.

Note that Forum Warrdens that don't understand the culture of Wadenism can only use the non-improved versions of the above.

    Closing thoughts:

Remember guys, as forum Wadens we have the duty and obligation to Troll, post pictures of Ferrets, and Derail this forum (and the occasional thread outside this forum that's begging to be trolled).
Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

Really? Because this seems to indicate that there are people who expect games to be completely bug-free:

No games without Bugs? This is today's norm, this has not always been the case. Before games were connected to the internet they had to be released without bugs or they would be flamed to oblivion and would make no money. So before you claim "There is no game released with zero bugs, glitches, balance issues, or anything that could make a user complain" do your research. This has only become a problem in the last 4-5 years and really more prevalent in the last 2-3 years.
Of course, he later changed his stance to admit that even back in the good old days all games had bugs, but only after being challenged on it.

And for the record, I see a big difference between people who claim that ESO should be bug free (and yes, they do exist on the forums) and people who understand that there will always be some bugs, and that the key is in trying to minimize the bugs, and especially eliminate the most heinous of them. Luckily the vast majority of people posting on the forums are in the latter category (probably at least 99% - I mean in this thread I'm pretty sure there's only the one exception to that, and even he was forced to change his position), even if they don't always agree on what degree of bugginess is acceptable.

The complaining that is the worst, is the constant whining about what skills are "overpowered", this continuous cry for nerfs is creating a power drain that will ruin the game.

This & people coming from other games, expecting this game to be a replica of whatever they played in the past. Or the hardcore'' brigade wanting this to be dark souls online or the likes, because there is not enough challenge for them.

As we know, a lot of whining, nerfs come from one aspect of eso, pvp. In saying this, people do put forward constructive criticism & valid discussions about bugs, improvements, changes to the game for all parts of the game.
