Uhm every game is going to have bugs. Things come up. Games are complex. WoW was buggier than snot when Warlords dropped... and that game is ancient.

My advice, deal with it! Play! Have fun!

I keep seeing "broken game" on here. I don't think it means what you think it means.

I have played nearly every day since PC release (including Beta) without any huge problems, a few crashes and a couple of glitches, and twice a broken (but quickly repaired) launcher.

Every mmo has bugs and that's normal.
But some things should be fixed. Like getting stuck in toppling charge animation which still occurs from time to time.

WoW was bugged but not laggy as hell like Eso. For me is this the most part for "broken game".

No fun, and can't play with it cause we can't play it normaly..

I haven't played in the last eight hours or so, but I'm pretty sure that it's still playable. Meaning that even though there are bugs it's still 'in working order'. Meaning you don't know how to English.

It saddens me that people just accept the broken, buggy and/or glitchy state of games these days. You know how many MMO's have crashed and burned just 3-5 years ago because they came out with even less bug's and glitches than ESO? Dungeons and Dragons Online, Age of Conan, SWTOR just to name a few started with subscriptions and had to go F2P due to the bugs and glitches, some also due to lack of end game content upon release, just like ESO. While ESO at least can still say its B2P (for now).

This is my personal opinion. ESO's "no fun when it's laggy" beats WoW's "no fun at any time".

So you consider the guild banks "in working order"? Try to deposit and/or withdraw something, close the tab and then go back and try to do the same thing again and tell me its in working order. While the game may turn on, and you can play it doesnt mean its in working order. So yes, the game is broken.

    in working order
    Noun
    1. the condition of a mechanism when it is functioning properly
    2. working correctly, without any problems

A lot of people defend mediocrity in the video game industry. As if somehow, quality is less important than any other product you purchase because this is entertainment and not "serious."

We expect statistical quality standards in automobiles, our food, purchased products of all types, why make an exception for video games?

We are just hurting ourselves over the long run by purchasing and continuing to play a product that was an a clear beta or late alpha state on release run by a development team without a working QA process.

Do you? Lots of people still bought Chevy cars, and they had the most recalls for a single year recently. Lots of people still go to McDonalds and other fast foods, lots of quality standards there...

Believe it! We still have to open our bank 5 or 6 times just to access our stuff!

We have to constantly reform a group because of the 'group leader bug'.

Both have been around since beta, so dont count on them getting around to it any time soon.

If there was no QA process, the game would have a showstopper every 5 minutes. It doesn't.

An MMO is technically just very complex. And your divers international audience doesn't make it easier.

It's far more easier to create a piece of software for American teenagers only than creating something for almost the entire world.

Complexity isn't the only reason why all games do have flaws, errors and issues.
    • resources and budget are limited
    • the pressure of the competition
    • you have to go live at a specific date

If you expect nearly perfect games with no problems at all, then they would be too expensive and probably out of date when released.

I think that speaks a lot of truth.

If you want a totally perfect game that works perfect on a wide range of computer hardware and software configurations, then it would take a really long time. By the time it releases, the graphics standards and current systems standards will already be better.

Sort of like what Star Citizen is turning out to be.

If my wife was 'broken' for over a year, I would probably divorce her. (well, not really, depends for what reason she's 'broken', lol).

Or you have a sadomasochistic relation with a game or you exaggerate a bit. A game with flaws doesn’t mean it’s broken.

I also have very few issues. There are a few game bugs, but they work on fixing them. I am patient. As for technical issues, I also have very few. I attribute it to regular system restarts and maintenance, and a proper port/network setup.
