Don't you think it's a shame that the damage reduction update on players also effected siege weapons? I poured Flaming Oil twice on a person standing still and I had to get off the oil pot and finish them off.

Shoot someone with coldhabour balista the other day during a defense and after the 3th shoot, their healer decided to come over to my targets and heals to 100%...1 -

LBxFinalDeath✭✭✭✭The only siege that seems to wreck shop still seems to be the coldharbour ballista, It still feels like it instakills people, the coldfire stuff though....is pretty garbage if you use them to attack other players.
The cold-stone is pretty good still.
I see positives already to this though, less people sitting at the top of forts with ballista aimed at the only way up to them racking up kills on clueless friendlies.0 -

Uh, that is the point of anti personnel siege, to stop the zergs.

LBxFinalDeath✭✭✭✭True, it wouldn't be a problem if it was a handful but at least from what I've seen its usually 30-40 guys all healing each other at the top of the fort while they have around a handful of guys with their ballista aimed at the breach friendlies create to get in, the flags, and the staircase leading up to them effectively making it impossible to win without a couple super tanks with siege shield accompanied by constant heals.
If there were other ways to get up to them then sure I don't think anyone would have a problem.
Since the nerf now people just power through the ballista fire when the wall comes down and the guys up top end up suiciding by jumping off the top or die attempting to streak past the horde.Edited by LBxFinalDeath on October 3, 2015 1:35PM0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Oil is still really strong. I took a 19k hit today. Without the 50% reduction I would have been insta-killed. It was hard to see the red circle with all the crap going on the stairs too. That 19k hit significantly screwed me over with the nerfed heals and regen.. and the fact the rest of DC was fighting NPCs at the main gate when I thought they were behind me. i cri0 -

You sure you didn't take a long number of ticks, 'cause the death recap just adds them all up.
But yes, siege in general is useless. I stopped buying them. Only way to stop enemy zergs now is to have either a bigger zerg or a very organized group that is not too outnumbered, and go meet them out on the field, or wait for them to come in and you can attempt ambush them.0 -

It's possible, but I only got half way up the stairs before dropping. We're talking like 3 seconds here - Ran through the breach and directly up the stairs.
When you're constantly outnumbered and there's hundreds of sieges being fired on the ground around you it's hard not to like the 50% reduction. I just want to fight, not dance around red circles for hours on end. I'm sorry, but I just don't find that a lot of fun. If the numbers were more balanced I probably wouldn't have so much of a problem.0 -

✭✭✭Rewards for worthy should be gold rarity highly sought after gear and tempers and tri stat runes that are awarded to groups who take keeps once or twice daily to give real pvp reward incentives and add a meter to side of screem like telvar for alliance points. And can get the rewards after taking keeps not just zerging that single nb who afked stealthed. Make the power struggle worth it throw in 10-50k gold rewards also. Toss on a once perday limit on the rewards like can claim x out of x rewards a day. That would get my rear back in cyrodil1 -

Since the update made walls stronger, our teams are usually going for doors now instead because they're so weak in comparison now.
I didn't particularly like the insane damage from siege weapons before the Imperial City update, but I wouldn't mind if they increased it by a few percent so it at least does damage to players. As a Templar who can spam purifying ritual, I can stand in ballista fire while doing jumping jacks, it's just not fun! so I've noticed certain teams adapt, which is good -- they'll coordinate their shots so 2 or more of their ballistas hit the same targets.--ϟ-- Crows_Descend - Templar - Ebonheart Pact [PS4]&[PC] [EU] --ϟ--
