Should the Daedric Summoning sorc tree be fixed?

The Clannfear still tanks for.you, it just doesn't do any damage... I use it in various vet dungeons as a tank build. Having said that it is still a bit squishy - meaning that it does when I don't need a heal.

Its squishy because its not buffed. Ive been running pets my whole time playing, im a huge fan. Hardened Ward shields your pets too, restoration staff heals them too and I mean from heavy attacks not just abilities. They can crit now too, with some of the numbers I've seen some have in crit chance that can add up!

They attack every two seconds. With this info we can treat them exactly like an DoT, a buff, a heal, and an aggro mechanic (some players do engage my pets while in combat) atm my pets do 2100 dmg per attack equating to a 1050 dps, this is a non ending effect as well! And even in PvP Clannfear's heal is really good, restoring twilight's passive does wonder's as well.

If you look past the gimic abilities and focus on the really solid ones pets can be devastatingly effective. Just don't spread the word :)

Edit: oh btw after researching I found a chart of all abilities and their ranks on dps out put, had other's with efficiency of magicka per dps etc... Liquid Lightning was the only top ringer for dps in the Sorc skill lines, you can arguably state that pets can produce more utility and dps than Liquid Lightning (meaning pets can be the most effective dps tool for sorcs in stand alone numbers, I do realize combinations of spells can lead to higher dps numbers and efficiency.)

Edit edit: well now I see you are talking about PC. Well they literally need to be fixed on PC. On xbox they work just as intended.

Honestly why is it even called daedric summoning when you can only summon a few daedra what about other types of atronachs why does it just have to be storm why not flame or frost or the new air atronachs and what about summoning dremora or Xyvkin ? Just saying and this is coming from a DK. There's a pyromancer build with fire staffs and dunmers and DKs and tempest mage builds (probly) so why are there no "good" summoner builds.

Not a single one of your claims is founded in the slightest bit. =_= I have no appreciation for inaccurate claims.

Clanfear has been invaluable to me allowing me to solo almost everything in PvE up to VR 1 so far. Haven't played PvP yet.

DM and DS are both in need of change. They aren't completely broken, but....I don't know how to put it.
Bound Aegis - 960 armor for morph. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Maybe it should give something else, like Minor Vitality buff?
Dark Exchange - I don't even know where to start. Pathetic values, 1 sec cast time, clunky animation. I'd rather use Equilibrium.

Clanfear and Twilight are as effective in combat as cosmetic pets.

The bit with the scamp/imp exploding has been adjusted - it is now back to exploding for 20% magicka. Mine was exploding for 10k crits on mobs, 30k magicka. Sounds about right.

Anyway, yes. Not only are the pets plain week, they don't have very many options, the cast time is atrocious, they still cost a massive chunk of magicka, and the rebate passive is almost worthless. I'd like to one day be able to assign the healing Winged Twilight to other players while healing on my sorcerer, that would be a good way to increase effectiveness while not making the spells overpowered. Perhaps casting Ward whenever the Twilight was following someone else would grant the other player a portion of the ward as well. Something like that.
The entire tree doesn't need to be fixed, only the two abilities that actually summon Daedra.

Storm Atronach, Daedric Curse, Bound Armor, and Conjured Ward all work fine and are arguably the best skills in the class.

The Daedra summons can actually be fixed very simply

Make them not toggles and give them a 30 second duration then balance them around this 30 second duration (buff damage and decrease magicka cost).
Imo the magicka morph of Bound Armor could be given a little love, but other than that I agree.

    >.> Really, morphing for 900 armor? Not even worth the skill point.

you're also morphing it to give more max magicka iirc.

All things considered, I've found that if I keep my Clannfear healed and shielded, that I'm having a much easier go at the PvE content rolling solo, than when I tried the exact same content with my DK Archer. Granted, I like the DK Archer more, but after I open an engagement with a stealth attack, I find myself overwhelmed rather quickly, and the shields and heals available to that character make me feel way too squishy. Now then, don't everyone get up in arms now. I'm not blaming the game, as it's most likely a learn-to-play issue, but the fact of the matter is that I see myself progressing further, with less frustration with a Sorc/Pet Build. End game? That might be a different story, but for the time being, whether the Clannfear is awesome or otherwise, it's working for me. Now if they would just provide a way to command it to attack or retreat...

All things considered, keeping your Clannfear healed and shielded is ALWAYS much less inefficient than specializing in dps and doing all the work yourself. Survivability wise, you may have a little less, but that can easily be fixed by using a healingstaff, potions, hardened ward, etc. So many options.

Also pets should scale to max stat for the dmg output, not only magicka but also stamina.
