I was just thinking about DCUO. how the holiday events and such used to bring people in the game and together.

Yeah, holidays don't have to be the same as real world ones. Or they could have similarities, and differences.
I remember frostfell in EQ2. It happens in December and has similarities to Christmas. Most cultures have holidays of some sort.

Anorak✭✭✭I don't understand why people want holiday event's in my opinion its just a waste of coding time. I mean sure one or two days everyone is wearing something stupid and lore breaking then it goes away. Also I imagine all of the stuff would be sold in the crown store for 2k+ crowns.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I personally feel that we could see Tamrielic holiday events in game multiple times per year and that we could have crown store events for real world holidays. Releasing skeletal mounts, scarecrow and jack-o-lantern polymorphs seems a bit much because that is adding "Halloween-type" items to the game... but that's for another thread. I think seeing a Halloween celebration that gives us a 25% off sale of all costumes in the crown store would be ideal.
ANYWAY.... I agree, we should have holiday events. I outline some of my thoughts in the following link, please take a look and comment if you like or dislike what I suggest.

Rodvic✭✭✭If you are wanting Christmas and Easter type stuff, a Tamriel version doesn't really exist in lore (Some of them kinda do, but even then there are differences) and shouldn't be added for the sake of doing it to please people who don't care about the lore.

The mounts aren't the issue to me, the costumes are. They wouldn't even really be an issue if Zenimax would actually put the stuff in the freaking world and give more lore on them than a throwaway sentence.

That's all I really want. Justification for their existence. If that's unreasonable, then I guess I'm being unreasonable.
