    What would the AOE spamming do for server performance?

    I don't see how they are supposed to design a game where having more people in large scale PvP does not give you an advantage.

    - Magicka Detonation scaling should be uncapped, increasing dmg per hitted target by 15-20%
    - remove aoe caps
    - barrier cap to 6 people
    - remove healing through walls
    - For IC/Sewers: Tel Var gain from mobs reduced by amount of people hitting them, meaning that a group rolling over the sewers won´t get anything at all
    - Boss Mobs or mobs in general focus the larger amount of people instead of aggro change to the smaller one
    - bring camps back
    - increase wall base health
    - bring ground oil back
    - bring old negate back
    - introduce a cooldown once someone rezzes a player with a soulgem. Cooldown also activates for the player who got rezzed by a soulgem. (Cooldown = 30sec or 1min)

    It gives you the advantage of having more ppl. Getting dmg reduction on top of that just because you ALREADY outnumber your opponents is just utterly stupid to begin with.

    why fight evil with evil. Just nerf all AoE damage to the ground. Or better, replace all of them with single target abilities. Game would be much better.

    On the contrary, it would mean people zerg even more, because they will be much harder to target while in a blob while at the same time being able to throw out single target abilities left, right and center.

    I am assuming the problem you are trying to address is everyone being in range of buffs and healing since they are all in one location. But even if a zerg doesn't stack, they will still attack in large numbers.

    Conceptually, it is a bit silly that if 10 people stack in one spot and you explode a fireball there, only 6 get damaged.

    People can´t use AOE any more than they are already doing it. They use it at every chance they get.

    Should caps be removed all that has to be calculated is: Case1: In range => DMG Case2: Not in range => No DMG

    Currently it´s like: Case1: In range 6 nearest targets by proximity => 100% DMG Case2: Target 7 to 30 by proximity to caster => 50% DMG Case3: Target 31 to 60 by proximity to caster => 25% DMG Case4: More than 60 Targets in Range: No DMG Case5: Not in Range

    Which does seem more complicated for you?

    If ppl attack in large numbers that is fine by me and everyone else i know of. It´s not fine that ppl by already outnumbering you gain passive dmg mitigation just because they are already at an advantageous position.

    Every "zerg" killer, in 15 plus MMOs with PVE or PVP, has always been worked into a skill that the zerg can use for profit. RIght up to having a stealth go in to check out the area, then having 6 tanks go into the Plane of Fear, to clear the way for the other 20 clothies. Once we figured that out, those mobs became loot profit.

    Where is the end game? You just played it.
    Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.

    Many things in this game undoubtly favour large numbers stacking up on top of each other more than nessecary. That's not rocket science...

    Hmm, what might work then is to make all AoE ranged with a minimum range attached. That would make it harder for the zerg to create a moving "death zone" and easier to target bunched up players.

    Certainly not "every time". It's definitely possible - heck we do it every day. However, there are time where sheer numbers and what I like to call 'the cockroach effect' comes into play - where you kill 30 / 40 people and move to the next position to kill the rest and, next think you know, the entire zerg behind you has been ressed (this is particularly aggravated by the advent of this Kagrenac's Hope set).

    Fundamentally, zergs in this game are far too strong and have far too many benefits. No one denies that having large numbers should give you an edge. And sure, if people are unable to play in small groups then they should certainly have the option to play in these larger groups should (for whatever reason) they feel that this is fun. They should not be given such ridiculous benefits in stacking up in one spot, however.
