It just me or did PvE'ers get a slap to the face...again?

Oh you can do dungeons. But for what? My whole point revolves around the fact that dungeon xp was massively nerfed

To be fair dungeon xp was totally crap prior to the update. Nothing really changed there and that is the real issue, they boosted xp for other crap but left what was already terrible alone.

In my opinion quiet the opposite happened. Sure, the pvp campaigns are all full, but there doesn't happen much pvp, it's just pve people running around in huge groups killing npcs to get xp and gear. Additionally most good sets can only be obtained by doing pve dungeons while the sets you can buy from the pvp vendors haven't been updated to v16.

This pretty much. The PvP part of the update is a failure and the PvE part is a huge success.

Also I am not sure what what OP means by "again" considering this is the first update PvP has seen in over a year. Pretty sure all those trials and that arena were not PvP content.

OP, perhaps you can spend more time reading the patch notes instead of whining about it on the forums.
    • Waaaah we don't get campaign buffs anymore. From Patch Notes: Campaign buffs will now be applied only in PvP zones. Also relevant: Emperor Bonuses restricted to Cyrodiil only
    • Waaaah we're not getting exp from dungeons. From Patch Notes:
      • 15% decrease in the amount of XP it takes to gain a Veteran Rank
      • 100% more XP for all public dungeons (This was worded wrong, they meant for clearing the dungeon's quests
      • 50% more XP for all Veteran Rank quests.
      • 20% more XP in Craglorn (This applies mainly to quests. And on top of that they get the 50% boost from the vet rank bonus which means a whopping 80% increase in exp from Craglorn quests!)
    • Waaaah why is the DLC stuff in the pledge rotation? From Patch Notes: Three new Undaunted Pledges have been added for Veteran Ranked player characters:
      • Veteran City of Ash Pledge
      • White-Gold Tower Pledge
      • Imperial City Prison Pledge

So yeah, if you've read the patch notes and still hadn't finished Cadwell's gold you would have immediately stopped doing it and waited for the patch to hit for that sweet exp boost. My nightblade is at VR 13 and I haven't even finished Cadwell's Silver yet. The Imperial City would have been fun, but a bunch of idiots who felt entitled to have everything immediately complained that they would have to work for the right to travel to the Imperial City (oh god the humanity), so ZOS caved in and removed the access restrictions. They'd also promised stuff like district control but hey that got scrapped too.

All in all I think you're just mad because you and your buddies can't just go through and steamroll everything like you used to. I got annoyed at that too, but guess what? I moved on. I reworked my builds and adapted, and now we're back to 3-manning content again. Suck it up buddy, you had a whole month and a half to get ready for 2.1 and you did nothing (half a month from the PC launch, and a whole month of us PC folk testing the patch on the PTS).

I'm sitting at work (ya I should be working. meh) reading all this damn negativity wondering why you all aren't playing...I'd be playing.. or maybe you're at work too. If you think something is wrong, change it in game...lord knows ZOS won't be snappish about anything on these forums. No point to rants, even if they might have truth to them. Carpe diem. lol

I'd settle for an exp bonus. 8 character slots, 10% boost per character at VRs? Make it not count towards CP. Or a flat 50% for all alts after getting one to VRs.

The Bonus is, that if you ain't in a raid-guild, you get more CP by twinking than doing PvP. The only problem is that the ranks 1-50 are not rewarded CP, while level 51-66 are rewarded CP points... :o(

(I'm more the "sincere guy", so I call them levels, not VR)

Ok to all the PvPer saying the Imperial City is mostly PvE have you done the dailies it's 100% PvE kill NPCs is the goal of all of them, never see a player no problem. No capture this district or kill players in the city, yes you can do your kill player quest Cyrodiil quest in the city but you have to leave go to the gates and come back. All the quest are PvE all the dailies are PvE. It's Craglorn with enemy players.

Tell you something op those new 3 hour qs caused by the influx of cyrodil virgins ain't no joke . I'm a pvp player that wasn't so much slapped in the face , more like bent over and double penetrated. I'm now taking a hiatus from eso for a while . I can't play the only thing I enjoy in eso. Pve in this game is everywhere including cyrodil and I c . Pvp isn't. Let that sink in and ask yourself who really got the short end of the stick

What the hell? There are two new pve dungeons with all dungeons scaling to vr16 with new pve gear for everyone to farm. Sure they should have scaled trials to vr16, but I'm thinking why they didn't do it yet is because there would have been way too much to balance, difficulty and loot. This patch was about pvp. The next one is probably more pve oriented with a new trial and all.

Sure theres new content, but from what i know, its still a 6 hour borefest circle grind for a vet level. Yay they boosted quest xp...so if ive already done the quests, what do i get? The avenues that remained for me to continue progressing have been severely nerfed, while the sources of xp that ive already used up have been buffed. Great. Nice argument

You know what that reminds me of, as do so many posts, the rationale of an addict.

If anyone is that upset, try this.

Step away for 2 weeks. Take a breather.

The first couple days you will feel strange and out of place. Then the next stage you will start to wonder... What is it you are looking for? Are you finding it? Should you're efforts be placed elsewhere? Slowly, normal reasoning starts coming back. Denial starts shedding. You start to feel whole again. You start to see things in a different light. If you jones for a game, play a well done, well reviewed single player game for a while. Get on steam, do some shopping, treat yourself.

title says it. Seems like those of us that enjoy playing dungeons with friends to gain xp/loot/materials and do daily pledges have been shunned. Dungeon xp = zero, campaign bonuses only apply in PvP, and if you want to do the daily pledge you have to buy the dlc. We PvE'ers just took it pretty hard in the you-know-what. Anyone see any reason to do dungeons anymore? I mean before it was a fun way to pass the time that would eventually result in some decent xp but now the xp anywhere is unnoticeable, and the difficulty has gone up somewhat with the campaign bonuses disappearing. PvE just turned to crap, and from what I can see, imperial city is just an objective-less chaotic melee that will soon get very, very, very old.

Yet another new gen game that destroys half its content in an effort to force consumerism and their own brand of play style, alienating those who were enjoying it as it was.

I would say thanks for nothing, but that would imply that things didnt change. I was holding on to eso plus in hopes that the new changes would help PvE just as it obviously does for PvP, but now i know better. What a disappointment.

    It's just you.

The hell are you talking about all the updates are for PvE. Trials, DSA the whole Craglorn upper and lower and next Orc Zone and the Imperial City is just PvE with enemy zergs you can do all the content and never have to fight an enemy player. You can't do that with most PvP quest like take a resource, keep or kill players.

PvE got all the updates PvP got Imperial Craglorn.

Not true. Drops are mostly VR14 mixed with some rare VR15 parts. Don´t make things up to strengthen your point. Only the new dungeons drop exclusively high level items.

Not true. Tonight I ran Elden Hollow on normal at VR16 and got a willpower ring off final boss. Later went to crypt of hearts, again on normal and got another willpower ring, a friend got the one handed willpower mace. These were non vet dungeons. I also got tons of VR16 junk to deconstruct for mats. Ive seen way more V15 stuff then V14 when running dungeons.

The PvP buffs gone from PvE is something WE the PvEers Wanted since the game launched. Because leaderboards were unfair with some alliances having all buffs and other alliances being at zero buffs. I am very very glad this cahnge finally got through and it's definitely helping to create a competitive healthy endgame PvE.
