What ESO Recipes Could/Should I Make in Real Life?

OK, a side conversation about pumpkin rabbit pie in this thread brought this up.

For a while I've considered trying to make a Tamriel-themed feast including only dishes based on recipes found in ESO. Naturally, this would be to serve to my real life friends who play/have played ESO.

So I'm asking the forums community, what recipes do you think would be the best for me to try to make? I'm looking for ones that don't require ingredients that are unobtainable outside of Tamriel, and ones that actually sound like they could be kind of tasty, while still being a bit unusual.

So what are your suggestions? :)

There are so many. I see recipes all the time and think, I should make that. Of course Mammoth Snout Pie might not be one. But, make it with Braised Oxtails (Oso Busco anyone) and that would just be yummy.

For this thread, use this list, it may have all the recipes, but there are enough to chew on. Get it? Chew on. I crack me up

Some of them sound good for sure, but at the same time some of the ones that sound good also sound a little too ordinary. Like the Nibenese Garlic Carrots - I mean that just sounds like something I'd make as a side dish without even thinking of ESO. But then some of the more off-the-wall ones sound like they could be terrible... I mean I'm just not sure how I'd feel about the Chicken-and-Banana Fried Rice :/

LOL. I have wondered the same thing about Alchemy potions. Finding the real-world equivalent plants and conjuring up a potion to see what it would do... probably just make me horribly ill.

I think you should make Telvanni Tea

    ESO Ingredients:
    • Lotus
    • Acai Berry
    • Honey

    Real world Ingredients:
    • Lotus
    • Elderberry
    • Honey

    Sweetroll
    • Banana
    • Corn
    • Seasoning
    So.. banana corn muffins?
    http://www.food.com/recipe/banana-corn-muffins-133710

As geeky as it sounds, a ESOCon (complete with a feast) sounds terribly fun. lol.

Pumpin cheesecake. Because cheesecake. And baked bananas with cinnamon.

Wait, you wanted actual food, not a snack. How about grape-glazed bantam guar chicken? Or one of those grape leaves dishes. Tomato borsch, just because we never eat it with tomatoes here and I'm curious how it would taste. For drinks I'd love to try one of Talen-Jei's recipes, but I'm not sure if using nightshade would be wise...

Firstly, this is an awesome idea. These are the options I would think were most do-able/fun:

    Appetizers

    Savoury-Sweet Fried Kale
Mudcrab Corn Fritters (faux crab meat if you're on a budget)
Coldharbour Daedrat Snacks (obviously, use bacon instead of undead mice, because... taste reasons)
    Alik'r Beets With Goats Cheese

    Entrees

Mother Mara's Savoury Rabbit Stew with slices of Savoury Thorn Cornbread
House Hlaalu Pumpkin Risotto, topped with Caramelized Goat Nibblets
Stros M'Kai Grilled Seagull with a side of Pickled Carrot Slurry (chicken instead of seagull, perhaps)
The Skald King's Patty Melt with Necrom Beetle Cheese Poutine

    Dessert

    Fresh Apples and Eidar Cheese
Rimmen Raisin Cookies with Cinnamon Grape Jelly
    Bananas In Moon-Sugar Syrup
    Skyrim Jazbay Crostata

    and, obviously,

    Sweetrolls

... Wow. I'm suddenly starving. *runs off to the kitchen*

Hmm, OK so far here are the suggestions I like the sound of the most (in no particular order):
    Sweetrolls (because of course)
Telvanni Tea (actually sounds quite refreshing)
Tomato Borscht (I'm picturing normal borscht, but with the liquid thick like tomato soup instead of thin like normal)
Savory-Sweet Fried Kale (lightly fried kale with a garlic-grape glaze I guess?)
Alik'r Beets with Goat Cheese (sounds a lot like a beet salad I had in Vegas actually)
House Hlaalu Pumpkin Risotto (a pumpkin risotto just sounds good)
Caramelized Goat Nibbles (assuming I can find fresh goat - I've only ever seen frozen goat in stores around here)
Bananas in Moon Sugar Syrup (maybe add a bunch of brandy to it to make normal sugar into moon sugar?)

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I won't be doing any seafood dishes because, frankly, I'm not a big fan of 95% of seafood (people make fun of me because I live in a city known for seafood and sushi, but I avoid it all).

Cool deal... So it looks like maybe that should be some sort of meat-pie:
    itemLinkImage.php?itemid=57146&level=60&quality=3&enchantid=0&enchantintlevel=0&enchantinttype=0&v=&summary

    Recipe is
    • Small Game (daedrat)
    • Apples
    • Garlic

So, pretty much Garlic apple sausage rolls. Just replace the sausage with Nutria!
