Who else thinks its BS that the PC players got to transfer their characters?

I've been PvPing on PC since May last year. Didn't get a transfer to the console because I don't have one and my friends are on PC, but still: yes, I very much agree that it's a stupendously huge power difference there on the consoles now. They should have let people transfer their characters, but reset the CP or give everyone starting on the consoles 100 CP from the start.

Yes, we had level, gear and experience but very few normal players had overly large amounts of CP which seems always to be the focus which was my point.

I must be one of those "guys" that hate incorrect information.
PC transfers only had 3 months to earn CPs between the CS release in March 2015 and console release in June 2015.
I had slightly more than 100 CP when I transferred.

    But who needs facts.

But if they was v14 or v12 or whatever the cap was then, they got 70 cp's for nothing when it came out? why don't console players randomly get 70 cps?
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

    Because they weren't V14?
That was compensation from ZOS on PC for other reasons which has been beat to death, we lost a lot of accrued XP.
Yes 70 of my roughly 100 were for having a V14 when the Champion system came out.

Completely bs, it ruined the economy and balance.

The transfer should have been done after they implement CP caps and they should not have been allowed to transfer their gold

How many CP do you think the average PC player transferred with?

My main issue with PC transfers isn't the CP its the gear and money they brought with them.

I started playing on console release and currently have 227 CP, I've managed 1 vet dungeon in that time. The terrible group finder and lack of text chat makes it nearly impossible for me to find groups to get gold keys and vet dungeon .

Yet in Cyrodiil there I am constantly seeing people running arround in Engine Guardian and Valkyn Skoria sets. I always assume they are PC ports. How many people on console have managed to get the vet 12/14 versions of these sets?

Go find a decent pve guild ^^ check these forums i already did all the vet dungeons and did dsa before i first hit v9 on my first character.

Its not through lack of trying, I've joined several AD EU PvE guilds which never panned out. They always seem to have a core group of people that play together. I've also tried the group finder a lot before finally giving up.

That's a very smart saying but I don't know, do old tomatoes roflstomp new tomatoes into tomato paste? lol

    I agree with OP.

I play on PS4 and thought about jumping over to the PC version of the game, but without transfer..
    It doesn't seem reasonable.

How is this any different from someone who chooses to buy the game on PC today? They'd be way behind on CP, gear, and currency/supplies. CP imbalance is a problem, but it's a problem for PC players too; I'm sure the distribution is somewhat different, but I'll bet it's not at huge as some believe.

As far as the economy is concerned, blame that on the lack of text chat. While it wouldn't fix everything, it provides for expansion of trade/economy in the game as being the go-to workaround for the broken group finder tool.

As this one is no longer a ripe young tomato, she likes to think those older bolder ones have more flavor. More punch so to speak. lol

My thoughts are that the amount of people complaining here about Champion Points in this game is now hurting my brain.

You said yourself they have a year's worth of play over you. Why should you be as powerful as those who have put in a year of gameplay?

Yes they had a year to play and level on PC/MAC.....so those characters should stay on PC/MAC and NOT transfer to console where they have a HUGE advantage over everyone that has only had the game for the last ...what 10 weeks is it?

It's not BS as anyone who chose to buy the game and pay a sub for a year has technically bought the game 3 times or more before ever playing on console. We invested in other platforms that allowed us to play prior for a much higher cost.

Also it was due to a delay that was offered to all not special ppl. The PC requirements are pretty low

How it was justified....some customers who owned a console also owned a PC. The company offered those customers an opportunity to play and move over later.

It's a simple concept....and considering how terrible it was on Apache for months and how much was missing really the PC crowd did console a big favor in funding some parts and giving feedback to make your experiences better.

Add to the fact that they allowed some terrible exploits like players borrowing millions of gold from guilds before the transfer and they paying it back allowing serious gold advantage.

But to be fair, if you can convince a group of relative strangers to lend you a lot of gold with absolutely no risk or downside to your bottom line, you pretty much deserve to be a millionaire.

PC transfers, on a whole, were strategic players from start to finish. That's why they're doing that much better compared to an average, button-mashing casual player. I might not agree with everything they did, but I admire their ambition.

This is a funny thread. How about you worry about you and I'll worry about me and everyone can get along just fine.

The amount of PC transfers that actually have millions of gold or > 500 champion points are very few and far between.

Just because you heard of a guy of a friend of a cousin that has 20,000,000 gold and 2k champion points doesn't make it true.

    Sensationalism is fun!

    Edit:

It's been a few months since launch and those who really want to would have passed the pc transfers in CP by now. This is just one more thing to cry wolf about.

Not bs just people didn't do their research on the game before getting it

It is complete and utter BS. They said it was supposed to make it up to the fans for delaying the release on the console. this of course only screwed everyone that did get on the console version. I really have no idea why they thought that was making it up to anyone. all they did was give a bonus to PC players for no good reason.

I too was not exactly thrilled with the influx of hugely powerful players at first since I simply get served every time I set foot in Cyrodil (and now IC), but I so many of the PCers were devoted fans BECAUSE they wanted the game on console.

Sure, we (console only's) will probably never catch up to the lofty heights of these godlike beings, but, hey, at least we have something to strive for.
