Are there no PS4 RP guilds or groups?

I'm a new player to ESO who jumped in with the PS4 version and quite frankly I'm liking the game a lot, and from the what I see it oozes with RP potential. I realize that most people interested in RP and with an RP background are mostly PC gamers, I'd know because that's where I've RPed almost exclusively and where some of my best experiences have happened. If PC gaming was an option for me I'd give it no thought, I'd be doing that right away and maybe even rekindling some of my old RP loves like NWN PWs or UO RP shards, but unfortunately it is not.

So I've been wondering if there are any RP oriented guilds or groups that are forming or will be playing on PS4. It doesn't have to be exclusively RP, it could be RP-PVE or RP-PVP. Now, I know that there are things about the console versions that make them far more unfriendly to RP, like having no text chat and the particularly boneheaded decision of not using character names in game, but I see Xbox One guilds and people popping up so clearly not everyone is completely discouraged.

So, I put forward the question, are there no PS4 RP guilds or groups?

I will...certainly try to. I touch upon that in my post. Yeah, it's a bummer (and an incredibly stupid decision, which will hopefully get reversed at some point), but all it takes is a bit of extra suspension of disbelief and a bit of preparation. It will have to be in semi controlled settings anyway, since one can only rely on voice chat for in-game communication.

But until then we can make dew with what we have now. Have you thought about starting a guild of your own?

I get it. The reason I want players to make new characters is so that there is not one OP players just guiding the team and getting bored. I want everyone to be on the same playing field and actively involved in the experience.

I made a RP guild and it just died due to PSN IDs being shown in game and in menus. Gutted they done this.

ESO would have been my perfect MMO but theres always something with these games that ruin the experience.

Back story: I am a Templar, orphaned at birth I was left on the steps of the cathedral in Daggerfall where the monks took me in. I studied in the lore and gods of Tamriel until I became a teenager. I left then seeking adventure and hoping to see the thing I'd read about in books. While traveling outside of daggerfall I came across a dragon knight named Bran Stormstroke and he saved me from a group of bandits hoping to steal my meager amount of gold. I traveled with him for some years learning the art of sword play and some magic. Until one day I woke up having crossed into oblivion, disoriented I fought my way back to dagger fall. Now I'm looking for companions to help me travel Tamriel and find Bran and save Tamriel!

I'm excited to hear your story and I hope we get to play together!

I would also be interested in such a guild.

And the PSN bothered me at first, but from an RP perspective it just requires you pretend not to see the PSN stuff. Most of them do not look like names anyway so that is easy to do. This is different because in most MMORPGs you have to pretend you don't know the name of the person you are talking to even though it is floating over there head. In fact this game might be better for RP because I really have no idea at all who I am talking to until they tell me their name.

I'll do some rp on ps4 but I thought they have it where you could see character name if they didn't then I wasted time making jezus and my main character is captain scarblade and I have a back story of him in my head.

So apparently there aren't, how so very disheartening.

How would people like a loose and neutral Pan-Tamrielic society of PS4 NA role players, where people can set up events and in-character delves, questing or general adventures? Without sacrificing their characters inclinations, motivations or previous associations, and imposing as little in character restrictions as possible. From within it they would launch storylines and even RP different factions and/or internal politics.

Physical description: Grey beard; Green eyes; Broad physical shape (200 lbs)
Status: Alive, living in Elden Root
Residence: Elden Root

Born of relatively high birth to Breton parents in Elden Root, Recthor was exposed to the teachings of Alchemy and Healing from Day One. His parents fled to Elden Root after rejecting membership into the Daggerfall Covenant after continuous attacks from Orcs over the years prior to the establishment of the Covenant. The Altmer (and some Bosmer) would home-school him in the tents, surrounded by fascinating potions, herbs and enchantments in the Mages Guild. It was all fascinating to a young Breton who still had traces of Elven blood coursing through his veins.

When Recthor entered his teenage years, he was immediately entered into the Mages Guild by his father who saw much potential in him to become a great Mage. He was taught by Arch-Mage Shalidor who also saw much potential in the young Breton; although he was puzzled as to why he wanted to specialise in the 'lesser' School of Magic (Restoration) and a 'lesser' crafting skill (Alchemy). Now, many years on and through hard work, Recthor has become a Master Wizard of the Mages Guild and is a close Adviser to Arch-Mage Shalidor on the Council of Mages. Recthor's aim is not to become Arch-Mage but rather to stay as the primary Healer for the Mages Guild and a Master Alchemist. He is a prolific teacher of Restoration and Alchemy for the young students of the Mages Guild. Recthor loves his work and takes pride in all that he does.

Recthor is also a staunch follower of both Y'ffre and Auri-El due to his love of the great forestry and the Arcane arts of the Elves. He is also a significant follower of keeping Magic out of the hands of the common people - as Arch-Mage Shalidor taught him - and as such, has a good relationship with the High Elves of Auridon.

Recthor is a patient and peaceful man and, when provoked, he will calmly use his knowledge and experience to question why they are so hostile. He is always willing to help people in dungeons or in the pending Alliance War with his excellent supporting role and healing experience. He is willing to share his knowledge of the Arcane arts, Alchemy, and knowledge of the Mages Guild.
