Stuttering, fps drops, freezing on loading screens and other stuff

I don't know what you did ZOS, but congratulations, this patch completely destroyed everything performance wise and to be honest my patience is running out.

My fps dropped by 20-30 regardless whether I have any addons installed or not, I updated my driver, tried running on low/medium settings and still have unacceptable fps. Also, after playing for like an hour or two my game begins to stutter pretty bad, some of my friends also have this problem.

Loading screens take way to long and I'm lucky if I can enter the game because half the time the loading screens completely freeze and I have to manually crash the game. I repaired the launcher, running as admin, etc etc this is just unacceptable for a game that I pay for and that has been out for this long, you should be ashamed of yourselves as you can't get anything right.

The past hour the game randomly logged me out twice while I was fighting and running with some of my guildies inside the Imperial City and Sewers. I was back at the main menu and it said "Could not retrieve announcements." Tried to log back in and gave me Error 301.

Absolutely *** pathetic.

The game has never ran this bad in any fight that involves more than 10 people. It's completely unplayable in these situations and the game itself just quits loading assets altogether, so I end up fighting invisible mobs and running into invisible obstacles.

And to show that this happens on a wide range of systems, here are my specs so one can compare to OP's specs: E3200, HD7750, 4GB RAM.

Yawn. Must be the Crysis 6 quality graphics...

So since the two tickets I made have disappered into nothingness and I haven't even gotten any replies after almost a week, I must be the only living soul with this problem? I can't even login because the loading screens either go completely black and it loads forever, or they just freeze and then I have to manually close the game.

    Thanks ZOS, flawless game...

Try to spam wrecking blow with some animation canceling light attacks in between, your game gets a delay and your health desyncs along with your oponents. Happens with all cast time.

Once again I cannot log into the game cause every loading screen I am on freezes after about 2 minutes of loading, I made multiple tickets, tried to call customer support, and you're not even answering whatsoever. I know other people have this issue as well sometimes and you are doing nothing about it.

Proves how after a year and a half of beta testing you still cannot *** do anything right absolutely *** pathetic.

also still extremely low fps 20-30 fps at most in some areas whereas before the patch I had stable 60, I disabled addons, even removed some, ran on low/medium settings and fps stays the same. Tried different drivers and it's all the same.

    What a joke.

    Same issues here.

Loading times have quadrupled at least, fps dropping down to 30 sometimes now, used to be a helluva lot higher than that, 60-70.

Game freezes for a second if the screen starts to get busy. NONE of this used to happen PRE- IC and subsequent patches, are they listening?

Why should i lower all my settings to basically the C64 days (ask your father(s), of youre not sure what that is :) ), just to make the game playable, I sub to this game, i don't really PvP, so if i un-sub, the IC part will be no huge loss for me. I'll start giving my money once this mess is tidied up.

Well ,Im done, cant even play, game doesnt respond, constant 20-30 fps, fps drops, stuttering, my ping skyrocketed after the mini-patch/maintenance a few days ago, loading screens freeze 75% of the time, abilities not responding game is just too buggy.

As I said I made multiple tickets asking for help, tried numerous fixes and after almost 2 weeks the game is still unplayable, ZOS youre a bunch of useless *** that cant get anything right I cant wait to see your game fail.

Yeah something went south with the patch for sure. The loading screens are insane and when I do get in I usually fall to my death and have to respawn from that. I've sent trace, ping other reports to CS at their request about the issue showing my connection is not the problem. The stuttering is bad and I did manage to get some of it to go away by changing a few lines of code in the usersettings.txt but it isn't totally gone. Still getting some freezing around spells and actions in general. Crossing my fingers and toes they have something in the patch tomorrow that addresses the issues.

Unfortunately, the same for me my ping while playing the game has been awful today. I did a 30 min ping test to various other servers and no issues, so I am certain it is not a net issue for me. I will just have to wait it out.

I´m having the same problem, FPS drops to 9-10 when I´m playing and its quite impossible to play like this. I have submitted 2 tickets already, one of them I really got angry with the issue (Since the previous response that I got mentioned to follow some steps that I had done before hand... And specified that I made them before hand). I´ll guess that I´ll log in the in the game from time to time to see if this is finally fixed.

Also, maybe its worth to mention in here, but I noticed a thread dated 2014 that someone reported that the RAM used by the eso.exe was quite high and was under the same FPS problem as many of us in here, I gave it a try and played with my Task manager open and found out that I was getting the same problem as well, the RAM used was around 2.4million... I´m sure that this is not normal, so I´m posting it in here just to see if this can help in any possible way.

As Sevari mentioned, I´m having this problem since the DLC patch. Before that, the game was running with some bugs (Crashing mostly) but my FPS was decent, perhaps not the best of the best but at least stable and not at 9-10.

I'm having the same issue. My FPS is dropping as far as 7 and going back up to 60+. I've updated all of my drivers, reduced setting, and even turned off Nvidia surround... the performance doesn't change. Speedtest.net is showing 77ms ping, 152.37 mbps download, and 23.85 mbps upload from my location in Cali to Huston Texas. I can usually run ESO on ultra in 5760x1080 Resolution. I should have realized this because I had this problem two weeks ago on another toon and turned off the mini-map and my issue improved. Yesterday on another toon I was having the same issue and turned off the mini-map and my issue was gone. (actually tried a few things but nothing fixed the issue until I turned off mini-map) I am not knocking the mini-map and I would prefer to have it running, but when I do have the lag its when the mini-map is running (could be unique to me IDK) Anyway, if you have it running try turning it off and see if your situation improves.

Have the same problems after update with Imperial City. After last patch game became something better working but steel have many freezes (all actions stops for 2-3 seconds - in the most cases after this I'm dead, or party member, who wasn't healed or saved). No matter what settings (highest or lowest - i checked - it comes when many AOE in the same place - ping become 999+ at such moments). FPS viewed 20-30. Sometimes had 3-5 until ping will turn back to normal 60-90. I talked with duport of my internet operator, tracing shows that high ping comes from 23 step - server or hub in germany, which is your area of influence.
I wrote this to support with any answer from them.

Another problem is the falling down of performance after changing locations or reloggin to another character.
This problem i have until the last update before implementing Imperial City and it seems to be not fixed...
    (My pc: i5, geforce 630m, 8 Gb RAM 1600).
Due to this i should always before important actions after changing location - turn off the game and log in from the beginning.
It's a veru long process with today's loading screens.
I checked with addons and without. No matter - problems are the same.

Game is now very bad optimized and seems going not be improved.

ZOS - I will not pay for game which work so bad.

P.s: In Imperial City now rule big trains of players sae as before. They run, kill everything on their way to farm telvar stones and dropping items. Whn they come game start to work very bad. fps comes to zero. swap of weapon don't work. AoE can be not viewed before u and another standart for cyrodiil things.
I hate such gamesystem. And, your try to change this situation is unsuccessable. Unprofessional.

    Same problem here.

Just came back for the new content, yet the game became so laggy comparing with my former gaming experience(my former average fps was about 45 or higher on high setting)
Now I set the graphic quality to medium, the fps randomly drops(the range was like 7~34). Even on low setting, it can still drops under 10! (so it's like 6~60)
All above was under the PvE environment.

PS: this is my system infor. It's not a super high-end gaming notebook, but it could easily handle most of game

Yes, here too. I used to run at 60FPS most of the time, and infrequent drops to 45-52FPS. Now I am playing, and OFTEN get drops to 30-45 FPS or less, and I even turned off Ambient occlusion and distortion since the big update too.

Now if they would support Xfire, I don't think I would have these problems (I have Xfire disabled).

Also having lots of stuttering, FPS drops and insane load screens. It's gotten to the point where it's happening anytime I move or am in combat etc.

The load screens have been here for a while but the insane fps drops/stuttering/lag spikes started since last patch, Monday the 14th.

Every time ESO loads up a bunch of NPCs at a resource or something, it will stutter. This did not happen before the IC update.

The stuttering is so bad, unplayable at all, this is so bad and been going on since the latest patch, ZOS, any fixes?

Doesn't even matter, if I play PvE or PvE, instance/trial/whatever - game stutters even when I am simply running along with nothing but your occasional mob around.
Addons? Even without any addon active this behaviour continues.
Without too much knowledge about this MMO's technical side, it feels like trying to play any actual ego shooter on a system built before 1998.
If this is just about a cutdown in bandwidth: Good job, Zeni guys - at last we're not here for the fun, but to provide financial backup for the next great <enter new MMO name here>
Correct me (or this issue), if you can - whatever you fancy.

On a lighter note, BnS is completely lagfree for me - playing it in Asia and sitting in Germany. Dig that!

ESO admins only spends attention if we brake forum rules. Know what? *** it! Spend your time to fix game, its ridiculous. I would get better FPS on my child hood mackintosh, than in this f**ing game! Before stupid IC FPS was at least normal, stable, around 30-40fps in PVP. Now even if I'm doing nothing FPS is around 10  10 fps from just standing! In PVP or PVM its under 10 fps, mostly 2 fps! Admins! You think its normal? WTF?

And I will answer to your stupid questions too - YES i have updated all drivers! Yes I have tested to play without addons, no changes at all! And YES I have used repair button!

Im so angry that games performance is getting more and more worse!

FIX old bugs before release some DLC with other stupid bugs!

    Good Night!
