Armour Passive Question

I'm taking Medium Armour and on the first Passive Ability - Dexterity - it says; "Increases your Critical Strike rating with physical attacks for each piece of Medium Armour equipped."
I was wondering exactly what was meant by 'Physical Attacks'? A Light and/or a Heavy Attack or a Skill Attack? They're both 'physical' attacks so I find the meaning confusing. I'm sure someone will enlighten me.

✭✭In this case physical attacks are all skills that cost stamina as well as light and heavy attacks with everything but staves.1 -
