The death penalty

I was wondering if there is actually any significant penalty to dying (I don't mean the marginal armour repair costs).

Why do I wonder? Because if there's no real penalty, this is a great stimulus to suicidal DPS builds and tactics and a major disincentive for more tanky builds.
You're better off getting killed 10 times for two kills than 0 times for one? In all I don't think that's beneficial to PvP. Would a more severe death penalty (AP, probably) be something worth considering?
Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

    The fact people never resurrect (at least where I play) and you have to run all the way back to the fight is penalty enough. I feel like I'm playing Horse Riding Simulator, MMO Edition some times.

    The groups we fight rezzing each other everytime you turn around.
    Yesterday we fought a group, killed half of them and while we killed the other half they started rezzing each other.

    It takes so long to kill someone now, if I see an enemy trying to rez I will drop whatever I'm doing and get up in his face xD

    At least, if no new penalty will come from Zenimax, there should be no benefit of dying:

    - no usable view at the current scene, no camera move for a better look, nothing visible
    - no chat at all, no party chat, no whisper, no ask for rezz, the buddies should look around and take care of it
    - no respawn into a keep without transit connection
    - or simply automatic respawn to the nearest transitable keep or the base, which would clear all said benefits

    It will be more realistic and more fair, not to lie around and not to be able to talk about visible actions, because dead is dead.
    And no extra penalty to dying will be needed.

    (Btw, if nerfing the chat ability to none, there should be the plus sign of dead party members be visible on the map too.)
