Like most games, it has its issues, but on the whole, the game is very good.
Its ambitious, unique and successfully combines many elements and gameplay styles/desires into a single persistent online world.
I am impressed, and usually I abhor MMOs.
Yeah the company is new, but the leadership, management and developers are all long-time industry veterans.
Still, I think they have done a great job of creating this game. I play it as much if not more than I played Skyrim.
But to cut them a break just because ZOS was formed to create ESO doesn't wash with me. When I go to a new job, I'm expected to perform up to my capabilities, not re-learn how to write code from scratch each time.
But I do think ESO is a great game overall. There are things I would change to suit myself, but they have done a great job of making a game that has broad appeal and incorporates the Elder Scrolls theme and lore (to a degree anyway).

@Funkopotamus
I'm not disagreeing with you, but, can you provide some examples?

I love that you are defending a company that you are comparing to a baby.
Also, this analogy doesn't quite work, because the baby isn't trying to sell us anything.

1] Not adding Text Chat as it would help players communicate for trading/Grouping and even role playing.

2] The CP system is a system that will discourage any "new sales" of the game as no sane person will want to buy/join a MMO that they will never be able to play on a competitive level with the majority of the player base. The system will only continue to increase a gap between any new player that wants to join and the rest of the player base. MMO's survive only if the number of "New Players" is equal to or greater than the players that leave. This CP system willcinsure that not to many "New Players" are going to be joining the community!

3] The "Road Ahead" is all but forgotten and no longer a thing for showing the players the direction the game will go or what the DEVS are aiming for in the future.
4] We were told the Vet Ranks are going to be removed and yet we are getting an increase to VR16 with very little information as to exactly "WHY" and also there is no new information as to when the VR system is to be removed. I mean what is the deal? Does anyone know what is going on?
5] Lack of communication from the DEVS directly to the players. Players should not have to /search for information regarding the future of the game! Players are left to hunt down tid bits of information on obscure websites and reddit post or some random live stream. When this information should be openly talked about and voiced to the players on the OFFICAL game forums/website.

One big example is enabling VR support for PC (either Vive or Rift). ZoS has stated that they will not consider adding support, but did not give a reason for doing so. Considering that VR will be an estimated 1.4 billion dollar industry in 2016, the only reason NOT to add support is to spite Facebook/Oculus for poaching Carmack. Adding a 3D UI/Widget to the game, using a headless 3rd person avatar (in first person view, aka: True First Person) and implementing support to the various SDK's are not that hard. I know this because I am developing my own VR game.
If I could add in support for VR into a game that I myself am creating, by myself, as a hobbyist, within a month, then the developers at ZoS could implement it within a week.. or so I would hope. Again, there is no reason not to as there are no royalties for adding support, so all it would cost ZoS is a week of some developers(s') time. Unless of course, it is how I previously mentioned.. that they are doing so out of spite.
