120 CP Passive Determination

Tool tip says it gives 798 shield when you drink a potion. It used to be a decent shield 13-14k. Now its not even usefull and its a 120 point passive.

13-14k shield on drinking a potion when high rank is quite OP..... I'm they nerfed it. I think it was giving 10x the tooltip.

it was NEVER a 13k shield, it was a UI error. You would see taht shield on your character shield addon whenever you did it with the other shield passives. It would always say 1k on the tooltip (on the 120 CP passive) and somthing else on the UI.

if you tested it it would go away at the given at the tool tip, never 10~13k

Are you positive? I've never crunched numbers on it but after (months) of using it, I can tell theres a big difference now. It's almost to the point of it being worthless. I only keep 120 in that tree because it looks cool when it procs.

This was a UI error in 1.6, which has been corrected in 1.7. Many of the passives that procced shields in the CP tree were wrong.

Yes, same for whenever you block, the tool tip said 1kish, but the explicitly stated in the patch notes for IC they fixed it showing a larger number than intended. I just had to activate the passive, let a wolf smack me and it was gone within a second. Had alot of friends be like wtf is that shield on your NB or templar since stamina builds do not have acces to that kind of shield. For me it says 662 atm whereas it was closer to 1k (i ran less health than you probably so that is probably the 2k or so discrepancy in our CP shield) in 1.6 which made the US say 10k for no reason on AUI. I'll double check the patch notes later.

Was just a visual bug, you got a 10k+ shield but it actually was only 10% of that value. They just fixed the visual bug.

Isn't that subject to the bleed effect as well? A 1K shield would cost you more than that in lost mitigation unless you were wearing light. Especially now that penetration is fixed.

Tbh I probably have to ween off block cost reduction, 100 in there. Have been some moments where I went man mode against another players and that block cost reduction has definitely saved when I didnt have a pot or time to swap bars to heal. Aside from that I have a fair amount into the other mitigation but I'll try and see what it is like without it in pvp (have been loltanking dungeons recently tho) and 20 into spell shield. All in all I think Ill get that shield rez passive you've been pushing me to get @Ezareth

@Suru 100 points into block cost reduction! WTH.....I've never touched that skill and I could block all day. If you're using sword + board /defensive posture the cost reduction will reduce the effectiveness of block cost reduction CP passives. Either way the total savings isn't worth it relative to other reductions.

@Ezareth haha yeaaaaaa its like the benefits of sword and board with dual wield. I just have to get used to blocking less and less and then take points out . But the other mitigation passives have high numbers and split evenly. Just a gameplay thing on my part. I encounter many players who will fear, petrify and do a follow-up which I have to block and 1//2vX blocking is invaluable at times because even with damage reductions I will die and have to block, cloak and heal while attention is fixated while always looking for a moment of opportunity. Just trying to damage my resource pool minimally and do what I have to do to wina fights :)

I still block plenty, I just retrained myself not to hold it until I need to. That said after petrify I break free + dodge roll into my target not block!

Just start sporting 4K+ regen and you'll be fine ( =

Hehe my CP distribution in the green treea is very unique but simple than the conventional tumbling which is so useful. Would be a lot to get into.with 3300 weap and 1800~900 regen easy to say we have very player specific builds that cater to our specialties :)@Ezareth
