I do agree though with many of your thoughts. The Imperials City feels a little but unfinished, hope with time they will add more complexity to it, more missions, increase the interesting things to find in the city, and so on. I'm afraid though with the relative rush for new content that is on its way with revised ESOTU road-map, we will not see the Imperial City embraced any further by development. That's not to say it is not enjoyable now, but I worry for it's longevity with it's lack of depth and things to do.

This is what this one sincerely hopes for one day

Sadly, as I was writing that, I was unaware that our charter had been revoked over an entirely regrettable incident.

The festivities in the Arboretum District are a popular destination for vacationers and tour agents often recommend this District for the beautiful architecture as well as the lively citizens that frequent the District. One particular person who works in the District, whom we lovingly call the Flesh Colossus on the account that he has small feet, was having a bad day and was treating some of the guests rather poorly. I am led to believe that various disparaging words were exchanged. Now, I assure you that he is normally very nice. I even have a skillfully made sweater that he knitted for me in the Altmer style. He jokingly told me it was made with real Altmer. What a guy! Always enthusiastic about greeting people visiting the District. Anyway, apparently, his rudeness was not appreciated and that, as they say, is the end of that story.

I can vouch for this. Many a parade of yellow and red have I seen.

I highly advise looking both ways before crossing the street, however. In their excitement, they tend to be less cautious and have a tendency to mow over anything in front of them.

EDIT: Santie, if you feel you have still been led astray, it is my understanding you can seek a full refund of your fare by consulting M. Kena in the corporate office, conveniently located in WGT, top floor. I'm told she has an electric personality.

Santie, it's unfortunate you have had such a terrible vacation, but I assure you it is a wonderful exciting city. I don't imagine Santie is shy, so feel free to befriend folks! As a banana who was trying to help the Drake of Blades one evening (although she is a bit odd, don't you think?) I found myself constantly surrounded by some folks, not sure if they were an official Red Diamond Tour or not, but with a little pause and some dancing (and maybe 1 kill because I was scared for my life) I quickly befriended them and was helping. I continued to help the Drake of Blades, and once my work was done I took to a fishing hole to relax. (Doesn't Santie like fish? Don't all Khajiit? I find the fishing in Imperial City is the best around!) I was left to fish peacefully with the Red Diamond Tours running over anything in their way. To ensure renewed friendship, we would dance in the streets every once in awhile to show our appreciation (and well, after finding an old tavern with some full barrels.. dancing in the street just seemed sensible).

If that doesn't work. I advise hiring a body guard instead of a tour guide next time. I heard body guards are pretty knowledgeable of the city and all it's sights as well.

This one went into the city early again this morning. Well this one went in the 'scenic underground'.

Santie is now thinking maybe she could sell t-shirts saying " This one went to the Imperial City and now she is off bananas for life"

This one then decided to go for a peaceful walk around Craglorn as she has been unable to explore or enjoy little of that region also.

Santie found some most unfriendly orcs who did not want to share their shiny pebbles.

This one will now be retiring to her basket with a bottle of moon sugar syrup and a sore head for the rest of the evening.

Santie has heard that maybe Orsinium is a nice place for a short break. This one hopes the orcs she finds there will be much more willing to share pebbles with this one and much less willing to share repeated axe and sword blows to the head.

I too visited, attempting to take in the scenery. It is something to behold !!!- while you look over your shoulder. I've never been to a place where the sewers are an attraction, but they certainly are worth visiting. The districts include stunning architecture, a must see too.

A lady called the drake of blades ( perhaps she makes shaving tools) has enlisted me for help in the city. I believe she works in the tourist information building. It appears that they are besieged by Daedric drunkards trying to ruin the atmosphere for the rest of the revellers. I being a kind heart , obliged. She (wrongly) assumed that I am an experienced adventurer and tamer of Daedric pests.

A fellow traveller joined me in trying to bring order to the destination. We were told that a particularly drunken Daedra was causing havoc in the temple - knocking over urns , scratching at the pews and vomiting the aftereffects of 2 weeks of revelry all over the pristine carpet. On our way there we bumped into a few more travellers. Some Daedra were getting very handsy with passersby so we stopped the situation before it could escalate. (We have heard tales of a resort in Shadowfen where the Daedra cavort with and corrupt innocent travelers , lured in with promises of sweetrolls.)

We made it to the temple ( removing our hats on entry). There was a terrible racket and a strange looking drinking game underway. There were mortals there wearing strategically placed rags. Some of them were on their knees or being led around by Daedra. The largest Daedra called" U " was indeed suffering from a terrible case of taco after effects.

We tried to restore order to the situation, handing out coffees and clothes whilst trying to avoid the searing vomit projectiles. We were making good progress when a large group of travellers wearing red hats zoomed in and tried to mug us whilst we were performing our charitable duty. I assume that they were skooma addicts as they were very volatile. Suddenly I passed out. I woke up in a near by building with blue smelling salts permeating the air. I can only assume that the combination of skooma-breath and taco fumes caused me to pass out.

Nevertheless I returned to the temple in order to complete my mission. I was presented with a strange scene...my comrades had all passed out too..and the skooma addicts in red hats were trying to subdue the drunken Daedra as we had! I started to wonder if I wasn't the only person the Drake had asked for help. Therefore, since being of the same goal my fellow travellers and I decided to resume and assist the skooma addicts in handing out coffee and clothes. We hoped that together we could achieve our mutual goal of sobering up the Daedra. Alas, the red hats seemed to want all the credit from Drake for themselves as they used their skooma -breath on us and we passed out.

We decided to return to the Drake and own up to our failure. On our way back a lone red hat tried to use his skooma breath on us! He kept muttering about "stones"..I feared for my life(and my sense of smell) as I brandished my dagger. I started to carry a dagger after one too many Daedra tried to drag me back to their abode for coffee. I shudder to think what they think coffee is. Anyway, this lone red hat would not quit so the 4 of us all pummeled him with whatever we could grab. I didn't have any skooma breath but I had a bottle of Lorkhan's tears on me. I splashed these vapours into his face since I'm so inexperienced with a dagger.

It worked and he passed out. I felt terrible about doing this but he just wouldn't stop. Those stones that he was muttering about fell out of his pocket. We picked them up as we'd never seen the like and pocketed them so that we could get them to the nearest mystic to examine.

Alas on the way back to the Drake we had another encounter with the skooma addicts..they rifled through our pockets..latching on to these stones..I'm glad that they didn't think to look in my bag as I had valuable trophies and lumber in there. ( I buy my bags from a mage who can enhance their capacity and make it feel light as a feather.)

At last we returned to the drake. She informed us that some of us had done well in sobering up the Daedra. I was left rather confused as she presented me with a badge stating that the owner had "sobered up Mr U.". However, she refused to take my name off of the list of people still to go out and help with the great sobering .. I'm very confused.I may ask to speak to her manager.

This is indeed a strange city, I can sympathise with your experience Santie. Next time we venture out I'll bring another dagger and perhaps we should drink skooma beforehand? Perhaps then we can also make people pass out with our fumed breath

Santie should make sure to leave any valuables back at home before any future visits to the big city. Sheogorath has great influence there, and the locals (and other visitors) are very busy killing each other in their madness, and often loot innocent bystanders on their way through.

However, a cunning and careful visitor can make much progress by using many of the empty buildings to get through from one street to another. There are often useful items left behind in such buildings too, such as the Tears of Lorkhan in many of the drink bottles and kegs - one thinks that Lorkhan must have been a very sad person indeed. Look out for interesting recipes, stories and books of crafting lore in cabinets and backpacks in these buildings, and there may even be treasure chests in some corners of alleyways. Potions of invisibility can be very helpful to avoid becoming laminated to the roadway when "zergs" pass through. Fortunately, unlike many other regions of Tamriel, bathing is not usually necessary to hide one's presence, due to the pervasive smell of brimstone hiding all other scents. (Too much time spent in the Sewers also dulls the nose of most other people there in the city). This one fears that cleaning one's fur might be a rather unpleasant process, after being dunked in the sewers so many times.

This one would like to add a final part to the notes of her travels.

Santie's adopted littermate Rosiebelle lives far away among the raspberries. She managed to get in on a tour of the city where only the raspberry people were permitted. Rosie enjoyed her time in the city very much and sent this one a postcard to say so.

This one will translate for you. Rosie - as an orc raised by khajiit - has a somewhat unique way of speaking.

Rosie says she likes the city very much. Loves the killing and questing. Got loads of loot and lots of stones. Really enjoyed her time there as she was able to experience the city without getting killed by other players all the time.

Santie is sad though as it is unlikely that she herself will be able to experience the city in the way that Rosie has done. Unless the divines see fit to one day allow a limited version of the city - one at least for each alliance.

The city has great potential and it was very enjoyable without the PvP. Endlessly frustrating with it though.
