    This community confuses me. At first, all I see were hate comments about how the game system is at that period of time (which was 1.5) and now that they've changed it, everyone is somehow praising the 1.5 system from out of nowhere. Or maybe I was always on forum during whiners were out and about. If so, that's just my luck I suppose. *shrugs*

    Soft caps sucked. Experimenting with different builds was so boring and frustrating back then because you kept hitting a mathematical WALL.

    What I miss about 1.5 was the the skill involved to truly become the best, whether in pve or pvp. Because of the softcaps there was not alot of build diversity, but it also meant that to be truly great, you needed to be more skillful than the other person who more or less has the same build as you. This was both in pve and pvp. When 1.6 came out you suddenly saw alot of players doing unbelievable stuff but mainly because they were able to build around the removal of softcaps and the addition of champion points.

    Wait to find your marks guys and you will see...
    1.7 is the best update by far for all player base enjoyment and that is what matters.

    Now game is in a better shape than never.

    Of course if you were Light Armor Magicka DK stage 4 Vampire at launch with self-generating ultimates, nothing will never be the same.... or and endless blinking mage that could travel further, faster than any horse.

    We understand.

    Soft caps sucked. Experimenting with different builds was so boring and frustrating back then because you kept hitting a mathematical WALL.

    The "mathematical wall" is still there since you still have a maximum theoretical point you can achieve. Post 1.5 however that point can really be achieved in one single way and all other ways will be significantly inferior. One example. In 1.5 there were 3- 4 slightly different ways to play a trial worthy magicka pve dps NB and even through they were not completely equal they were relatively close. In 1.6 the best Magicka DPS NB could be written down on a paper in detail. It was obvious and clear what race ,what gear,what mundus ,what ,cp and traits to have and it was very obvious to see why it is vastly superior to any other variation. The same thing was true for most other classes and build categories.

    Although the no cap system looks nice at first ,it makes balancing builds a lot more difficult and ultimately destroys diversity.

    Id have to agree more so with this post.
    I would offer that the missing piece of perfection was not removing VR levels.

    Then I'd totally agree

    It desperately lacked content. Now we have it. I much prefer this over that mindlessly boring game it was before.

    ESO improved a lot.

    @BlackEar

    When someone says revert the game to 1.5, they're talking about game mechanics. They're not talking about removing content that was put in game (other than maybe the champion system)
