I was there to play not bicker, and it seemed most were not of the same mindset.
I think it simply comes down to the fact that a lot of people are fairly rotten individuals, and it really shows through in a competitive setting and especially one where you're not face-to-face.

Here's the reality of the situation. You're playing a game where your character basically commits genocide across an entire continent regardless of if you're a PVEer or a PVPer, or (like a vast majority of players) someone who does both. Also some people are jerks and some people have easily hurt feelings. Learn to deal with it.

Erm.. I wasn't tryin to bait anyone into anything. Also I wasn't even a bit passive aggressive when I posted my opening post (IMO). If anything, I was/am half-asleep. >_> But, I digress. My question is why? Why just "deal with it"? And I'm fully aware the situation, and its reality in regards to the PVE and PVP aspects of this game. I'm just curious behind the point in intentionally filling a community with negativity and toxic behavior. That's all.

Actually, please allow me to apologize. I too suffered from lack of coffee. After re-reading your post I took it the wrong way. I'm honestly sorry.
Coffee = Reading comprehension.
The briefing and carebear name-calling, and so on. Why? What is the point of it? If you want to PVE, that's fine. If you want to PVP, that's fine too. But there's no need to actually force a divide between the 2. There's no need to generate a tension, because PVE is a mandatory aspect of the game. Regardless of how badly the PVP-extremists hate to admit it. So it's like, why even intentionally turn your community into a cesspool of toxic behavior? Makes no sense to mention. At the end of the day, we're all playing Elder Scrolls Online. Lol.

Well said. There is a part of the PVP community that is downright aggressive and resentful of PVEers as if their style of game play is inferior or less than.
There does seem to be a rift growing between the two groups of players and it is unfortunate because ESO has great potential that is sadly being torn apart because of a very vocal group who want it all their way.

Haha, it's chill man. Apology accepted. And yeah, coffee is the solution to many problems. The world should all have a big cup of coffee, and just breathe.
Because PVE only players have posted at least 1000 or so whining , bitching , posts about an actual PVP content loaded expansion/patch being released.
Then many throw in sociopath , bully , all PVP'rs are angry teens and so on. There's EQUALLY as much rudeness coming from the PVE side. It's just that whichever side you fall on is the side you glance over when they are being a jackass.
For me personally ? From UO and EQ zek days , DAOC , Lineage 2 and so on , PVP mixed with PVE makes the PVE x1000 better. I don't begrudge anyone who doesn't want to PVP though at all.
But , and here's the big thing , if you choose to set foot on a PVP server in an mmorpg , if you choose to set foot in a PVP zone , if you choose to set foot in Cyr , or IC here , you've got ZERO room to whine about being "unfairly ganked".
Zero.
PVP is killing the enemy before they kill you.
I liken it to this. I played HS football , wasn't big but was tough and fast. I got rolled at times by 300 lb monsters destined to play 1st string Defensive line on a major college football team as freshman 6 months from when they were playing against the rest of us who were normal sized.
None of us bitched about it being unfair , if we had of our own coaches would have offered us tissues and told us to go take our panties somewhere else. Rightfully so.
So when I see someone coming here whining about being killed in a PVP enabled area , it's blood in the water , I admit I enjoy it. Fully ,
It's also why me and my kids giggle when we 3 way snipe someoneMy wife isn't thrilled my 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son already know how to yell out , BOOM HEADSHOT , but at the same time chuckles and realizes it's family bonding time.
(on a side note mentioning sports I yanked my son off a baseball team that decided not to keeps score , because real life has winners and losers , thankfully that league went under in one season as not enough parents around here wanted their kids coddled. Football league thankfully lets the 6 year olds realize winning and losing is a thing )

You see , I'm a happy adult male with a good wife and kids and career. I play PC games for enjoyment. There's nothing in a video game anyone can do to "upset me".
As I do any game. And if someone lets me upset them over a video game , it's a little sugar on top.
As far as the PVP vs PVE thing , I look at it like someone showing up at our weekend pickup football games at the local field open on Sundays for such , where we play tackle , and complaining about it not being flag football.
If you don't want to be killed , don't step into the place where it can happen.
Both sides whine and *** , not about to deny that , it's just that the PVE side seems to think it's ok for them to call names.
Me , I just enjoy knowing it upsets someone so much getting killed in a game.

No, I am talking about the constant abuse heaped upon the PvE community in the forums since the update. They are not whining. (Most of us are quite happy you got your update.) Even if they were, TAKE. THE. HIGH. ROAD.
Instead we get griefers piling on ever single thread, gloating, throwing insults, and being the biggest bunch of bullying brats I have EVER seen.

Wait , are you really saying PVE'rs are "not whining" ?
Really ?
Want me to start linking the posts ?

There are a few. It is true. The grand majority of PvEers are not upset at all that there was a PvP update. It's the PvE being mixed in, and locked behind both old and new PvP that is the problem with he game.
However. Regardless of whether ANYONE is whining: TAKE THE HIGH ROAD IF YOU'RE SO SUPERIOR.
