If you look at the new meta for Itemisation it seems clear they intended to do weapons and couldn't or didn't for some reason.

5 piece armour
2 undaunted
3 piece jewellery
Weapons...????

Seems strange....

All of this whining with people jumping to conclusions. So if there's ONE thing right about this post, it's that you cannot receive Faction-based weapons from Tel'var merchants. HOWEVER, that does not mean they are unavailable in game. They actually DO exist and are obtainable to anyone in the Imperial City. Collect enough trophies from one of the districts or dungeons, and you will have access to the trophy vaults. What lies inside these trophy vaults? Why, faction based weapons! Of any of the three new "3 piece" sets drop as any weapon any trait (unfortunately their "fix" to remove less desired traits seems to have vanished) in YOUR faction's style of weapon. I'll gather some screen shots today so you can all pull the sticks out of your behinds and go get them yourselves.

If you are to take anything out of this @ZoS, it's to proof-read what you publish more. The only mistake you made in this case was that you gave misinformation of where to obtain these items. Cheers.

ZoS is aware and intends to fix, you would see this on page 1, making it clear to TESO:TU consumers Tel Var Mechants only sell armor and general gear. Which is great and appreciated.

I'm not trying to incite a negative response, I'm trying to educate the people who would sooner jump to conclusions about something wrong. I did read this thread and people here believe that these weapons don't even exist, that the pictures are merely placeholder items that were bait for players to get excited about. Which is just not the case. Did ZoS make a mistake in stating where these items were obtained? Yes. Did they flat out lie? No. If I was replying to your original post I would have hit the reply button. Instead I didn't, because I was replying to the numerous others here who were mistaken in the idea that faction based weapons are unobtainable. Perhaps if you took the time to dissect and analyze why I posted what I did, you'd see that there is no issue about playing nice. Cheers.

I've got nothing but love, respect and patience for everyone who is a part of this community.

But can you honestly say as a mature adult that typing "you can all pull the sticks out of your behinds" is a polite and positive thing to type?

We were told that Tel Var merchants were more valuable than they factually are through being able to acquire weapons from them in addition to their actual stock.

We are unable to acquire weapons from Tel Var merchants, therefore they are not as valuable as the Developer article originally led the player base as well as potential customers to believe. Regardless of whether the weapons were Breton, Argonian or faction skinned weapons, the fact of the matter is we were incorrectly told Tel Var mechants were able to provide players with weapons when they cannot.

Did they flat out lie? No. Did they mislead people knowing the entire time there would be no weapons? Absolutely. Have they mislead us in the past? Almost everytime they do a patch they mislead us. Why are you so surprised? This is the MO of ZOS.

5 x Armor set
3 x Jewelry set
1 x Masters weapons

which would be better if masters weapons included shields and off hand weapons etc

Yes in the uk and eu you cant show screen shots with conntent that you know is not in the game companys get sued over that and steam removes games all the time in the eu because of it
