No one says you have to log in everyday just to upgrade mount specs. How much speed do you really need?
Aye, good luck not getting frustrated in Cyrodill with your no stamina, no speed horse. I know there's an assault skill, but it takes up a slot and doesn't help with the horses stamina and hit tolerance level. That if you so much as sneeze at your TV screen, you get thrown off your horse. No one says you have to log in everyday just to upgrade mount specs. How much speed do you really need?

I fear this could become another example of PvP requirements being imposed on PvE. I quite understand why PvPers want the mounts maxed out and they want them maxed out NOW , but for PvE the present system of working for achievements in a MMORPG has much to commend it.
Perhaps, as skill balancing changes should be, this is something that could be applied differently to PvP and PvE. Then again, perhaps this isn't intended to be the kind of game where everyone enters PvP with instantly created characters with the same stats, perhaps there needs to be some allowance made for different levels of progression? If that's the case, then progression shouldn't be instant but something you work at over a period of time. Rather like the present system in fact!
I started a Sorc a few days ago and didnt want to have a 1 speed horse, so I spent like $30 and bought the riding lessons from crown store. That got me to 50 speed instantly. Made lvling much faster getting from grind spot to grind spot.

In PVE I'm on my mount about 5% of the time, maybe. Much better to just take a casual walk.. Especially if you farm Alchemy, no need to get off the mount every 15 seconds.

It is really pointless and tedious, and outrageous.
So if i have a lot of characters, I have to log in each day, open each and upgrade for 6 months? that is if all of them were there from the beginning and I didn't create others on the way.
Is there something something I'm missing here or any easier way to do it? (not talking about spending 180$ per character for full upgrade).
Imo at least it should be account wide, logging in everyday for 6 months is already long enough.

so you are saying that every time I create a new character I should pay around 30$?
My main question is do you people see this as normal?? because to me it's just outrageous and something needs to be done about it.

I'm with you. This is another feature that I understand why they don't want it to be too easy, but question why did they choose to make it this hard. I'd love to see the devs reasoning and the math that they used to pick this.
