The problem was not blocking, it's cookie cutter builds

Saw them pts and now on live.
Perma blocking is still alive.

The no stam regen during block affected the wrong people. Many less optimized builds are gimped, while the guy who specced into 100% stamina still does fine.
When people complain, others come and say l2p. When they ask how they can adapt, it's engine guardian, all cp into blocking and stam regen, templar healer and such.
If there was an inspect function, the situation would be even worse.

I mean what did you guys expected? People learn the mechanics, tricks and theorycraft the best builds suited for vet dungeons, dragonstar and trials after a whole year of no real content. Of course people will get bored when they run the same content with the same builds over and over again.

Didn't this game advertise itself of having many build choices at the beginning? Those balance changes only kills the variety.

So you're saying the tank that specs heavily into magicka shouldn't be able to tank as much anymore?

    I do agree.

That's exactly what I said during PTS testing and feedback. The no stam is the wrong fix. It's an issue with certain classes/builds that needs to be addressed, not blocking in general. I have no problem with someone being tanky (esp with every class having a way to drop block), but they should be giving up dps when they do so and that's the only real issue with a few builds.

The opposite of having your so-called "cookie cutter" builds would be just throwing skills together without thinking and being as effective as anybody else. Want that? Don't think so.

You guys know there are builds between full stamina and full magicka or full tank or full healing/damage?

Does every tank really need to run engine guardian, histbark and footman to be effective and kicking all non templar healers?

You know one strategy for dk tanks is to heavily spec into magicka to use earthern heart abilities to generate stamina?

We have a DK magika tank in a group I normally run with. He was stamina at first then switched. He stated his job got a lot easier when he moved to a magika build. For what it's worth...

I do know that this "fix" addressed an "issue" with some grinders.

I am guilty of running around Craglorn, drawing in as many mobs as possible, then holding block and spamming Impulse. That was on my sorcerer. I didn't find it much fun, so I pretty much quit grinding, and went back to questing.
