    It is worth IMHO because you get the 10% xp boost and reduced research time if you are into crafting
    Plus 1500 crowns a month. At the start of the 2nd month you have enough to buy imperial from the crown store.

    You can craft imperial style out of the box, if you choose to play an imperial char.

    I have the IE and can craft Imperial gear directly .. what you're saying isn't true.
