"Reported" Tells....

I got my very first "Reported" tell last night after killing a couple of Reds that were hiding by a wall at the BRK Mill. I find this hilarious that this person had to send me this one word tell. When I saw it I was like WTF??? Were they po'd because I found their hiding spot? Were they po'd because me and another player ganked the sh*t out of them once we saw them? Were they po'd because their death recap showed multiple hits from animation cancelling and they thought I had a macro?

While I have no clue what their "Reported" was based on, I find it funny as hell on some of the reactions people have when they are killed. My facial expressions alone would be hilarious to see from the many, many deaths I've had.

As far as being "Reported", I take that as a compliment if it was based on their death recap. That means that I've actually managed to animation cancel to the point where people think I have a macro...

lmao Now if I can effectively duplicate it on the next kill or not that's another story....

lol

For anyone who actually thinks I cheat, go ahead and report it to @ZOS and they can browse my game logs/files anytime they like......

First rule about being reported is you don't talk about it on the forums.

Now lets talk about it, most people in pvp use the report crap has a way of feeling like a big shot its true of any game with pvp anywhere, if someone says they reported it nine times out of ten they didn't the other one they did it because they where upset and it will get ignored either, just move on and do a happy dance its just normal pvp stuff

Unless you where hacking and such just ignore it and move on

Well sir, animation canceling hmmm if the player die's in 1 second, before they can do a thing to block, heal or otherwise prevent their death.

Its all in the recap, shows what you used, but in no way can you set off 5 abilities in 1 second, by using animation canceling, its totally impossible.

Sorry, but time it, and if you throw in an ability that takes 1.3 to use then show me how to do that in 1 second ?

I couldn't care one way or the other about it. I thought it was funny as hell and wanted to share. People blatantly report people for all kinds of stupid reasons IMO all the time.

If I knew how to hack I would fix the lag myself....At least then it would get fixed!

Report the world! I honestly hate the stupid report feature. Bunch of tattle tales that nobody likes anyway. lol.

disclaimer: I never have a reason to be reported, I've never been reported etc. I just think it's dumb to begin with IMO.

Regardless of the numbers, the person reporting is a bit smug if they think that anyone who efficiently kills them must be cheating.

Oh yeah. I wish the Death Recap had times on when the spells hit. It would be so much easier to prove macro's exist and who's using them. There's no way that 3-5 spells could hit at the exact same moment without being a macro. They would have a visible time delay.

I wish @ZOS would add in damage hit times on their recap. It would make things a lot more visible to the player what they were hit with and when.

What's funny to me about this is I was running an Undaunted dungeon last week with a friend - we were doing it duo - and in one instance I actually made an animation cancel and then stopped what I was doing because I thought my animations were broken.

Since then I notice that I ani-cancel better when I'm not trying. I have a gamer mouse with keys on the side to fire my skill bar, but my left thumb just doesn't seem to move fast enough if I'm thinking about it. As a nighblade, the rapid strikes animation probably the easiest for me to cancel. Other than that, I'm pretty hopeless right now.

Edit: Is ani-cancelling against the game rules?

It's not pvp unless you get reported for hacking.... at least 5 times when you clearly are not. Because you know.... people can't admit they need to improve and they're not as good as they think.

At first it was more of a dumbfounded WTF, as I thought more about it I found it hilarious. Then a sense of pride, based on if they thought I was using macros. For what ever reason, it was a really good laugh for sure.

But yeah, I got most of my "hack reports" in SWG when people tried to kill me Jedi. People just can't stand losing.

Well if you killed them with skill then the report it stupid but of you killed them using a macro and they have proof then the report makes sense and you should be banned for using a macro.

My opinion of course though.

There are legitimate reasons to use it, whether or not some people choose to abuse it. Hate tells with graphic threats/harassment that persist and similar abuse, accounts that have been used to set up and run bots with particular characters, etc. The /report and /ignore features are vital to an MMO.

Not so sure about that, i know a LOT of people that are dead set convinced there are players that hack/macro/sploit to get kills etc. It gets worse when they start thinking everyone killing them is doing it. The teamspeak outrage is real.
