Yeah go back to skyrim when you figure it out.

Why is the line I bolded always used as a dismissive insult in these forums?

Because people coming into the game expecting "Skyrim with friends" or a solo rpg have gotten the game dumbed down to a ridiculous point already and pretty much trashed the original creative intent of the Devs.

dont get it. agree that game is dumped down to a ridiculous point already, but its because kids cant handle difficulty. i am sure adults who expect more soloable content are not happy with thing that everything is so easy.

I suspect it is the other way round. Those coming into the game and not expecting Skyrim with friends have had this game nerfed to the point where Skyrim is a superior challenge. Carebears mentality.

As for all the comments we get about 'zergs' in PVP. It is a war Zone with 'armies' .
Not many armies are made up of of 1 or 2 people. Small groups are typically special forces and even special forces caught between two opposing armies are going to find the going tough.

Just for the record it was ZOS that made the statement that MMO was an Acronym not a Genre.

As to this, One of my proudest moments in game was durring my time with the Psijic Order Private test group and it took me 2 days to figure out how to beat Mannimarco and when I finally did the fight took 33 minutes from the time of the first blow to the final blow and never making a mistake inbetween or he would be back at full health and my stats would be drained. My character wasn't the best build but the same build now can take him in about two minutes. I cussed like a sailor for two days then celebrated with a 6-pack when he was finally done for.

As far as this getting turned into a solo vs MMO thing,

If folks want PvP play that impresses me then turn on Friendly fire and see how many folks complain then. It would put and end to Zergs and unskilled play that's for sure. But be careful of the folks you call fiends, you might find out you are not as popular as you think. Akatosh forbid having worry about accidentally hitting your best friend because you couldn't play as well as you thought you could.

The biggest reason I will not be playing Imperial City is that there is no way for me to purchase crowns without giving away my credit card information, which i will never do... Rather crazy reason but here you go!
Even though i really want to play it :'(

You must be playing on PC? If that's the case why not go to Walmart and get a pre-paid card, and throw $20 on it. This is why I like how consoles have official store bought pay cards.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Spot on. From a pvp viewpoint, it's the reason DKs kept getting nerfed after 1.3-1.4 (and still are getting nerfed indirectly), the reason NBs keep inexplicably getting buffed, and many other completely unnecessary changes.

To be fair, I'm not one of these folks, I'm for more of a separation so this doesn't happen.

I wont be buying it until it comes out of beta on the PC and then maybe 2 or 3 months after it is released for the consoles as it is nowhere ready for a release.

This is simply feedback as to why I choose not to play this content.

    @Casdha

My feedback is -- not want to play to have people camping and griefing other players for Stones.

Sad to say but I truly believe this will be a huge issue upon DLC release and will continue to be a major problem in the days that follow. Just not enjoyable at all.

And ... yes please spare me the "play with your Guild canned responses" this post will certainly have in response.

Some people have a life and not have opportunities to play out game time. Some people can only play when they can play -- not going by a clock planning.

Was expecting to read something about lag, but here we are.

I'm pretty sure at this point people are just grasping at whatever straws they can to say they dislike Imperial City.

Like it or not, it's coming. And most of you *will* break down and eventually get it. So that being said:

See you at the front door of your Alliance's safe zone! We'll have the welcoming committee out with ballistas and Magicka Detonation!

    Question 1: Who is we?
Question 2: How will you find me?

"Grasping at straws" only applies here if you take a short term view. Sure, nobody is going to change IC for tomorrow's release. But looking at it long term is a different story. People have effective ways to express their displeasure. Don't buy it. Or if they buy it and don't like it they can express that on the forums etc. Poor sales and/or negative feedback absolutely can alter what they do in the long term. It could even motivate them to change aspects of IC.

And if you actually like IC and want more content like it in the future, your 3rd paragraph is about the last kind of thing you want to be crowing about.

Reason Im not bothering with IC is because it isnt worth paying for. The game isnt worth a sub. Maybe when orsinium comes out Ill spend some money again. Im not paying for a lagfest like cyrodill. Until they fix pvp it is stupid to bother buying a pvp expansion. The first couple months at least will be unplayable. There will be countless exploits and countless hours spent balancing (i.e. nerfing). It will be a guaranteed disaster. Ill not pay for that mess. Maybe I might buy it a year from now IF they fix pvp lag and the rampant cheating.
