When Oblivion came out they released a video where the developer brags about how the forest is computer generated. Sadly every video game from now on will become more and more computer generated. Not just the trees and grass but the dungeon layouts and anything else they can let the computer do. Sadly its one aspect that continues to get worse since Morrowind.
Looks like I'm not the only one. Even though Morrowind was a great gaming experience, I hated the very first 3D-modelled games as well. While 2D-sprited/bitmaps were a bit old-fashioned at the time and had their own limitations, they were still on advantage when compared to 3D. A highly temporary one. And then, it took as much as 3-4 years to get our hands on TES IV: Oblivion, and I remember its graphics was often considered as revolutionary. That was the first title I assumed 3D graphics started not only to look decent, but actually good.Even in 2002 I found the graphics painful. Uncanny valley all over the place... I could never bring myself to play it because of how awful the graphics were.
I like all of the Elder Scrolls games... Morrowind was definitely the most fantastic world... Vivec... the floating skyscraping city... it was the size of half of Skirim by itself... Imagine if Morrowind was recreated... but with all of todays technology...
Oblivion was vast and awesome...
and Skyrim was nothing short of brilliant too... I contemplated blowing off work on many days to keep playing...
This new one... ESO online... is a mixed bag for me... I could care less about the MMO part at this point... The only things I don't like about this new one are:
1. lack of customization with armor and weapons
2. Many of the caves and dungeons are mirror copies of each other...
and...
3. I'm not as motivated to relentlessly explore... there just aren't enough bizarre and fun characters to dialogue with... treasure chest have many sucky prizes...
I guess they had to make sacrifices to accommodate Cyrodil and MMO.
with that said, I am enjoying the game

The dungeons were often different, with good loot being dropped.AND,..if you killed someone, you could take their clothing, armor, and weapons. In ESO you get junk a lot of the time, but certainly NOT what they are wearing. There was really cool armor, etc. Also in the construction kit you could change the stats of everything, you could add the things that werent already ingame. And you could add a mod,if it didnt show inworld, you could go into that kit and place the bits you wanted into wherever you wanted to.Like on Caius Cosades's bed.I used to place weapons and everything in his house,go ingame and run to get it.
What I miss are the sounds of Morrowind.Cliff Racers as they saw you, scribs, the sound of those Silt Striders lowing as you travel along in places.
(you could also add your own music to the original music files.)

Haha i remember that too. The long ramps in vivec city were awesome for that!
Another thing I remember: That random island on the east part of the map with that floating house/castle thing pretty high in the sky. I remember flying up their for the first time, meeting some 1000 year old wizard, murdering him, and taking it over as my homebase. Felt like a boss haha
I had permanent levitation and speed boost (you could make some really cool builds with those 'constant' enchant effects, and 17 armor slots to work with for diff enchants).

remember the acrobatic scroll that gave you 1000 acrobatics and you jumped like 1/4th the way across the map haha

Yup it was sweet, and near the end of that playthrough I had created a spell that let me do the same exact thing. Jumping from city to city in like 3 jumps was pretty badass lol. Just don't botch the landing or you're F'd.
