I've been doing as much as I can over on FB to inform people what is going on, but the Butthurt is really strong over there. They need an official communication to kinda let them know that "someone official" sees their concerns and hopefully that will settle them down a little.
One particular guy is losing it over there. Started calling me out on it xD
Seriously though imagine what the situation would be if it was cell phone service and not the internet jeopardized here.
@ZOS_GinaBruno
ever play the movie name game?
If I say the movie Batman, the following person must say a movie starting with N.
Simple rules.
The last letter of the only word or the first letter of the last word.
Example 1
Shawn of the Dead , it would be a D for the next person.
Example 2
Armageddon , it would be an N for the next person.
The, A or a number does not count "it's easier this way"
I'll start....
Dead Man Walking , so a W to the next
War of the Worlds
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

My internet has not dropped since I had fiber installed, and that was years ago. Man up, let us know that your server crapped the bed, and then fix the issue instead of passing the buck.
It's just a script dude chillax lol
I shan't chillax. I'm prepping my pitchfork as we speak! I would just rather the message be something along the lines of, "Our brand new, state of the art, nuclear powered servers are currently experiencing issues, which we are working to resolve as quickly as possible," instead of, "check your connection..."
Nuclear? Who brought Fallout into this?

for whatever reasons eso is down, compensation needs to be given to subscription users.
in this era where redundancy, high availability and business continuity are all viable solutions, this should not be happening.
likewise down for patching, crashes and what nots, the subs needs to be compensated, because they have paid for the service.
actually no it doesn't. read your agreement, downtime for maintenance is built in. Stuff like this happens. If its down for days, then yes compensation is needed. But for outages of 24 hours or less... that's an inheirent risk in any online game. And I am a subscriber...

Oh god. That is an apocalypse scenario right there.
Okay lets play it your way. Zos provides compensation for this (which I think is a silly idea). They turn it over to their insurance and then their insurance premiums go up and so do our subscription costs to cover their insurance. Alternatively they just eat it and then raise their subscriptions or push back one of their major updates in order to pay for it. No thank you.Greeniewolfub17_ESO wrote: »for eso plus members, it is still a subscription.

Oh giveover - Zenimax probably has insurance to cover outage that affects their business. Stop making out that they are some hapless little victim here. They can give subscribers an extra day and claim it against either their insurance or against the network with the problem's insurance.

No just their Sweetrolls. I heard the thud all the way in Auridon.

depends on which part of torld you are in.
this for me is not acceptable.
for me this an online game on console that is down a total of 48hrs in a month in scheduled maintenance, crashes, now its been 4hrs since i cant login and have no redundancy plan wont deserve my sub.
all online games have downtime, sure ... but compensations are always in place for such users.
be it game gold, free mount upgrades etc....
for it to be down for days?
i am sure not just the subs will be screaming.....
I have heard of Sony giving some kind of refund for extended downtime because they sell the subscriptions. Zen only gets a cut. Haven't seen anyone produce anything to prove a refund. Could try that route. They did say they had to fight Sony a bit for it.

Just reuping this
Thanks! The more we dig in, the more it seems like this is the main culprit. We're continuing to monitor, but we're basically just in a holding pattern until this gets cleared up on a larger scale.
And you yanks were blaming Canada earlier. Tsk tsk.
