Mark Target vs. Purge (Mark Target debuff stacks?)

I was originally testing out Major and Minor Defile, when I came across this weird bug.

Essentially if the enemy uses Mark Target on you twice before you purge it, then you have to purge it twice. As far as I can tell, using it three, four, five, etc. times still only makes you have to purge it twice.

Here's a short video showcasing the bug:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvrctPfrQes

NOTE: the debuff effect itself, i.e. the lowered armour / spell resistence does not stack twice as far as I can tell, but if you don't purge it twice the enemy can still see you in stealth if it is the Piercing Mark, plus the debuff doesn't disappear until it has been purged twice either.

It seems insignificant, but in Nightblade vs. Nightblade fights or even just against Nightblades, this means you have to waste a lot more resources if you use Purge.

I encourage others to test this out, just in case it was a singular incident, if it proves to be the case I will simply take this thread down.

Mark target is 3 effects, purge removes 2 effects.

First purge removesd the armor and spell resist debuffs (2 effects), you can even see your health bar updating to show this.

second purge removed the see through invis/stealth effect.

This is the case in live also. As far as I know it's not a bug.

Purifying Ritual dispelling 5 effects, still you forced to cast it 2 times to dispel mark.

That's not the problem here.. If you look at the video, my friend casts Mark Target twice in a row = I have to purge twice. When he casts it just once = I only have to purge once.

So I don't believe your explanation, plus @Cinbri stated that this bug occurs with Purifying Ritual too.

I believe tihs is some kind of bug with stacking.

You will take a look? Really? It works correctly and I am pretty sure that many people can explain you why. It is a shame that a ZoS member who is responsible to collect the feedback do not know the game mechanics. Mark target applies 3 effects.
    1) Reduce Spell resistance
    2) Reduce Armor resistance
    3) Add a debuff that you cannot hide
One purge removes 2 debuffs so it removes the first 2 and you have to purge one more time to remove the third debuff.
    Because I can!

Watch the video I attached to the post AND as someone else stated earlier, this occurs with the Templar Purifying Ritual that removes 5 negative effects. Hence this being a bug as it actually applies twice.

Piercing Mark should not have to be purged twice, that would be unfair to the other morph. Also I think that Piercing Mark only applies two debuffs as the tooltip just states Major Breach and Major Fracture as the debuffs, the "see through stealth" part is probably attached to those I would guess as opposed to being its own separate debuff.

Also, having Purifying Ritual be the only thing that can purge Piercing Mark in one cast seems really silly. Hopefully they will keep it so Purge will correctly remove the Mark (regardless of morph) in one cast.

With the new meta in IC I really hope that they keep how it is. Cloak is OP and everyone should use detect pots now.
Another stupid decisions from the devs is that the skill that counters Cloak is given to the class that has Cloak.

I think you are giving the Cloak too much credit, it is still not working as intended most of the time, plus it is extremely easy to get people out of stealth.

I can imagine they might institute a nerf to it in the future, similar to how they did to Bolt Escape and Dodge Rolling, but I think it would be more for the reason of not wanting people to be able to flee as easily, not particularly because it is overpowered.
