Gratz Crown on getting all those acheivements...
Oh, I mean, you useless piece of AD filth.

That means I'm missing one in this list - as this only adds up to 327... anyone know what I've missed?Confirmed: There are 328 skill points in the game
At present I'm PvP alliance rank 40, so have gotten 40 of the 50 possible skill points for PvP.
I have 318 skill points having completed all main quest lines in all three factions, done all the dungeons (normal, vet, and hidden bosses), taken the extra skill points from mage's guild line, and picked up all skyshards.
I don't believe that there are any others that are available, and I haven't heard of anyone with more, so for all the debates and question - here's the probable answer.
And yet a player with less skill points and more champ points will have a character that is more powerful/useful then the guy with 328 skill points who explored the game world (or am I wrong?).
What a funky character system they have going on here.
Seems like we're better served grinding champ points then hunting down skill points. Mindless grinding > Exploring and Achieving.

- 49 from levelling your character, up to level 50
- 13 from gaining Veteran Ranks, up to Veteran14
- 11 from completing quests in the Main Quest
- 49 from completing quest chains in the Dominion, Covenant, Pact, and Coldharbour main storylines
- 2 from the Mages Guild storyline
- 113 from absorbing 339 skyshards
- 50 from ranking up in the Alliance War
- 16 from completing group challenges in public dungeons
- 16 from completing group dungeons
- 8 from completing Veteran dungeons
Damn I wish I could play 18 hours a day just to get Emperor achievement
Or do what most people do....cheat, exploit, meta game and farm AP off other faction "friends".And yet a player with less skill points and more champ points will have a character that is more powerful/useful then the guy with 328 skill points who explored the game world (or am I wrong?).

It's not a character system, it's a business model in disguise. Make grinding exp more rewarding and more powerful to your character than anything else in the game, put items in crown store to make grinding exp faster....

@willymchilybily You should only get 1 SP when you reach Alliance Rank 1. I'm not sure where a second one supposedly came from, but if there is a second one there, that would account for the discrepancy.willymchilybily wrote: »Riko_Futatabi wrote: »That means I'm missing one in this list - as this only adds up to 327... anyone know what I've missed?Confirmed: There are 328 skill points in the game

dont you get two SP when you first reach AP level 1/start cyrodil and kill something? one for each skill line you unlock?
at least i did, and presumably 1 per level after that would make 51 at level 50? but i may be completely wrong or mis-remembering i wasn't paying close attention.
Yeah there's definitely something wrong here. There are only 62 skill points for Level/VR increase, because Level 1 doesn't get one, there are 49 for quests, and I don't know what that Soul Skill Line one is either; I've never noticed an extra skill point associated with Soul Magic.

* I've contested the 'per level' skill points with the CS, and I really do think they meant it as 62 (level 1 and level 50/vet1 don't get each). Besides, we get 62 attribute points, therefore should be 62 skill points.
# they missed one, from looks of it.

never seen this, and so true!
I thought it would be interesting to post something very relevant to this topic.

All in all, the total skill points above is 328 (inclusive of pvp skill points). But as a side note, what is that soul skill line coming from??
anywho, I just thought it is interesting that the TOTAL matches the TOTAL of the OP. just my two cents.
P.S. For anyone that feels like they're missing an appropriate skill point allocation should contact support. I've contacted them about mine, and my character did not receive several skill points (due to the bugs a year ago where some public dungeons and quests were not giving the skill point as per usual).

Aren't there certain main quests choices that sometimes give you a skillpoint or not? I think there were like 2?
It has been on another thread. So maybee ... idk

Only if your only goal is the "powerful character". If you're willing to grind mindlessly just to get the bits in a particular arrangement on your computer, go ahead. Meanwhile, I'll PLAY the GAME and HAVE FUN.
This.
There are different ways to play the game, and which you choose will depend entirely on your approach and what you want out of it.
